There are plea bargains, but that's technically also in the court of law. Also, keep in mind that even in a lot of cases involving cameras, things may not always be as they appear. In this case, the usage of cameras does not appear to definitively show beyond a reasonable doubt in my mind that Kelvin Joseph was the one that pulled the trigger. As such, more evidence is necessary.

The point is that if a camera shows he was in the car, they can still nail him for not reporting it. We can hope that isn't the case...because that can lead to up to a year in jail.

Ain't it the truth?

I was reading about some edge pass rusher last night. Said he could drop because of a past sex charge with a minor that got dismissed. I put him at the top of our list.
Yeah I think that's Sam Williams who we are linked with huge. Quinn went to his pro day

Being in the vehicle when the murder took place is the only thing that matters!

The League can suspend him based on the fight alone if they want if he admitted to being in it. Since there's no set suspension time for "Conduct detrimental to the league" he could get the Elliot treatment of 6 games. Or he could get one, or none. I think he'll get a minimum of one and that's best case scenario of him being involved in the fight and not in the vehicle.

When situations like this pop up, reminds me of Iverson. He could not extricate himself from his crew because they were his family when he needed one.

The Cowboys knew they were taking a risk with him and Ball but they were willing to take it. With Joseph, it was based on need. Talent wise, he was the next CB in line.

Don’t disagree about the suspension but if he is in the vehicle he won’t play again for the Cowboys.

Yes, this is true that he did have a duty to report the crime. This is something the DA, I suspect, will try to use to get him to talk. However, the defence attorney would argue that he didn't want to be outed as a snitch.

Sigh!

With this sequence of picks, they very likely do have a draft strategy in the second, most likely taking a player who should have been a high first round pick if not for ________.

Also quite possible it’s fueled by the Randy Moss thing all these decades later.

Joseph might get off easy if he flips on the guy who actually pulled the trigger, assuming it wasn't him.

But he would need to find some new friends. He should find new friends anyway.

Either way, trouble follows him around. Even if he skates on this, it's just a matter of time before someone from his new and improved posse gets disrespected
Joseph would rather take the charge and end his career then be called a snitch. This case will never go away. If Joseph plays well this season someone will bring up the murder investigation. This really sucks. I hope Jerry can get him to do the right thing. The police just want to close their case, he would get immunity from being prosecuted. Of course the other teams would call him a snitch and he would lose street cred.:rolleyes:

Other than this, how is our off season going? Anybody?
If you ask the Jones family i am sure they would tell you it was going great. They we're the first to tap into the crypto revenue stream and couldnt wait for the self congratulatory press conference to announce it to the would. On the field not quite as well.

For me, it is sort of the straw that breaks the camel's back as far as Cowboys Player behavior. How many times are we going to see them pull stuff like this? Jerry needs to change the culture and come down like a sledgehammer as an example. He was even only involved in the fight but the people he was with later murdered the guy? Cut him. Send the team a message: "Choose your friends wisely or risk your multi-million dollar career."
