I agree that he's made some odd comments in the last decade or so.

But some of you act like every GM has only made accurate statements their whole career.

Stephen, a college football player and brainiac chemical engineer tops 90% of the people in this forum in both football experience AND IQ.

But that's what social media and forums are for half the time--to make people think they are smarter than they are without having to really prove it.

Go for it

no one really believe they are smarter or better then jerry and stephen...well maybe some do haha!

we just want them to hire some one who is

With a coaching background I’d like to hear your opinions on the subjects. Your bound to have more to offer than just bashing on those you disagree with or who offer up criticism .
Quite disappointing poster, IMO.

Which you’ve admitted you don’t take criticism or pushback well. So, you’ve resorted to this type of tactic instead of digging in standing your ground on your opinions .

Shame , cause I bet you have some sound thoughts on player evaluation and coaching techniques. And probably some interesting constructive criticism .
I would seriously love to hear his thoughts on stuff from a coach's perspective.

Below are just a few of the many, many stupid and moronic comments made by the laziest executive in professional sports, Stephen “Giggles” Jones. In light of SJ’s moronic comments today about “Super Bowls not being won in the off season”, it’s worth remembering two things:
  1. He’s been saying dumb things for years.
  2. We better hope when JJ meets his maker SJ wants to hire someone to run this thing.
Here’s a walk down memory lane with links to the original stories. Each link is prefaced by an SJ actual quote.
This is a very incomplete and short list. It could three times as long, I just wanted to post a few. Is there an NFL executive this arrogantly lazy and stupid? If so, they’re probably fired in short order.

Stephen Jones is a complete embarrassment. I’m not a JJ fan. But at least he earned the right to own this team. SJ’s qualifications amount to DNA. Lord help us if this man ever completely takes over.

Jerry: 3 Super Bowls Wins

Jimmy: 2 Super Bowl Wins in 5 Years

Landry: 2 Super Bowl Wins in 29 years

When I see post like this are you saying he is a greater football guy or team builder than Jimmy and Tom?

The 2019 quote isn't crazy. He may take his bargain hunting too far but overall he's not wrong.

Only in Dallas do you see fans talking about the owner getting credit. They’ll even rip the HC to do so. A guy who lived football and prepared a dynasty. It’s kinda pathetic just like the gm himself.

Nepotism rarely is a good thing.
I think this is a prime example of why most companies don't allow it.
DNA should never be a qualification.
There is an inherent conflict of interest.
You gonna fire your child, spouse, in law ect???
Nepotism plus narcissism equals guaranteed disaster.

Free Agency has become a necessary part of the process. They seem very prepared to overpay their own players, but will refuse to overpay other players around the league? Specially considering some of the I’ll advised contracts they hand out? Stephen’s philosophy makes no sense at all.
