Giants looking to trade Toney

I don’t know about that “potential”. He’s washed out already as a top-20 1st round pick. That takes a heck of a lot of screwing up to ‘accomplish’. He’s more on track to quickly be out of the league.

He played pretty good for the first half of the season. When the team collapsed due to injury there isn't a WR in the league that would have flashed on that team. He wasn't screwing up when he got 189 receiving yards on us.

2023.....3rd round pick

LOL screw the Giants. We should offer them two of our 5th rounders this year. We're a little top heavy anyway.

I think it's clear his play is not the reason they want to trade him. If indeed they do. Something else is amiss. I wouldn't want to risk any valuable pick.

Steve-O from Jackass is the only other human being I’ve ever heard of doing this, and he did it as a stunt because he knew it was a terrible idea.
Steveo on jackass turned out alright lol

He wasn’t healthy all of last season outside of the Dallas game. He went for 189 against us with a bad QB situation and no other help.

Keep in mind, he began the season with Jason Garrett as his OC and was stuck doing gimmick plays.

He’s the classic right fit kind of guy. If he goes on a good team, gets his touches, he can be a good player in the league.

This is what I'm thinking......

Just every other time.

Or he’s the classic talented knucklehead who squanders his gifts and his opportunity and is out of the league in three years. I know which way he looks to be headed.

Flip 56 for him but make it conditional on him playing in at least 12 games, otherwise it becomes a day 3 pick.

Their 2nd round pick I'm sure, but I don't know how he expects it to be conditional if you give it to them Friday and the season starts in September.

If the condition is we get their next year's first round pick, I'd be willing to take the risk. Play him on every down and special teams. If he's out for more than 5 games, we'll have a top 5 pick in 2023. Along with our own pick, somewhere around 18 or 19.

I'm guessing he forgot the 1. Since we have pick 155, I'm thinking he meant pick 156. Because no way was he talking about our 2nd rounder for that walking injury.

As I said, they only get our 2nd round pick if he plays at least 12 games, otherwise they get a day 3 pick. A fair gamble for a guy who could become a WR1 if he could stay healthy.

What year is this 2nd round pick that you are talking about?

This year. I get that Toney's a risk due to his health issues but he's also a bona fide talent. We toss away second round picks like they're garbage anyway.

So we give them this year's 2nd, and if he doesn't play 12 games it turns into a day 3 pick? You don't see the issue here?
