It's very possible, in fact likely, the team uses Fisher to put false info out there.

Of course that assumes they have a plan and a clue, so maybe not.

Or could it be that ole' Fish is the desperate one looking for clicks and views? I have pretty much moved on from Mike Fisher and his "news." And since I did move on I have had no regrets.

Fish’s standard headline:

COWBOYS TO TRADE UP (maybe?)

I like them leaking this....means teams will think they can call them to trade down and will initiate the discussion...when they find how stingy Jerry is going to be they probably will realize how they aren't actually desperate
Since when has he been stingy in trades? He wouldn't have come home with the beans or the cow.

the only player worth trading up for is Kayvon Thibodeaux,
I'm interested to in him as well. The more he drops, the better I think he will be. Thibodeaux is very talented. I think that they would be interested in him as well as Cross, Penning, and London. I think that they either trade up for one of them or trade down if they can't pull that off.

Granted it's Fish, so it's likely untrue.

That being said, trading into the Top 14 to get a WR would be pretty typical for those two boobs running the franchise.

I think Stephen actually believes the roster is in great shape and that he'll fix OG and DE with the bargain scrap FAs he's gonna sign in June.

This makes so much sense, thinking like Stephen, that I'm sure it will happen

Good lord, why do we keep thinking that anything Fish posts actually happens? How many false alarms do you need until you realize that throwing 50 things against the wall and having 1 stick doesn't make you a prognosticator?

He's always posting this sensationalism and when it doesn't pan out, on to the next.
It has to be hard to come up with new ideals for videos every day. In the offseason, there is not much going on. I think Fish reports on all of the rumors that he hears and he gives his opinions about the rumors. He could probably do a better job of screening which rumors to address, but I do understand why he reports the rumors. He can be entertaining, but it is what it is.

There’s been a lot of smoke around this so who knows.

If they’re giving up major capital for a WR, I’m going to scream
Yup....makes no sense. You had a guy you just thought enough of to hand him 100 million...then gave away for peanuts.

Only to turn around...and over trade for another guy?

Yeah....that would piss me off. :banghead:

Vinnie2u reports that the Cowboys might trade up if a player they covet falls.. Or trade down if a good opportunity presents itself. Or stay right where they are..
… regardless, I predict they will make a pick!

Just to be clear about what we're talking about:

24+56 gets you to around 15.
24+56+88 gets you to 12.
24+56+next year's 1st gets you to around 7.
24+56+88+next year's 1st gets you to 6.

The draft value chart is not an exact science. In fact, many teams don't use the draft value chart. In a year like this year where there are not a ton of elite players the cost to move up is probably not as high as in past years. That being said, I would rather just sit where we are and take the pick that falls to us. We have too many needs to part with draft picks since the two bozos did very little in free agency.
