This is a good pick. Excellent WRs can be had in multiple rounds. Tolbert is underrated somewhat because he didn’t play in P5 conference. But he’s excellent IMO.

I actually think Lamb, Washington, Gallup and Tolbert is superior to Cooper, Lamb, Gallup and Wilson. Hopefully they'll prove me right.

Then again I'm one of those who consider Washington, Gallup and Tolbert to all be 1B type WRs. Hopefully they all prove me right. We could actually use an upgrade at TE but Schultz is no slouch and we have blocking TEs behind him. Continue to upgrade on the lines and at LB and get a TE next year.

No. Daks never used his athleticism to its potential pre or post injury

I think people are underestimating how difficult it is mentally and physically to recover from completely blowing out one of your wheels. Not to mention the running game went in the toilet last year so defenses could just key on Dak and the passing game.

Wasn’t a big part of his game his scrambling? He looks maxed out on his athletic ability and once teams keep him in the pocket he’s lost

I expect him to be more comfortable running this season. A lot of us have taken for granted the fact he was coming off a major injury. His regression also coincided with the injury on the last beautiful play of the Pats game.

My hope is he's healed up, mentally as well, and we are at least formidable enough to run on a cover 2. Those couple things fall into place and I think we get good Dak.

There's mediocre Dak, which is what we tend to get when the OL sucks and the WR corp is trash. There's MVP caliber Dak, which is what we get when the OL is humming and the entire offense is balling. We're all hoping we get the latter.

Did Jerry write this? :D

Round 3, Pick 88: Jalen Tolbert, WR, South Alabama
There isn’t much Jalen Tolbert can’t do at an elite level on the football field. Despite being the focal point of the South Alabama offense over the past two seasons, Tolbert still exploded for record-breaking numbers in South Alabama and Sun Belt history. He has an uncanny ability to find the open space in coverage, using his deceptive speed to eat up any cushion presented to him.

Tolbert can separate at the line of scrimmage and at the catch point with an elite burst. He has terrific contested-catch skills and possesses an ability to high-point the ball over defenders similar to Randy Moss. Tolbert has great ability after the catch, a full route tree, and can line up at X or Y in the Cowboys’ offense – and win – all the same.

The way WRs were being over drafted I didn't he would get to us but this is a great value pick and he comes up big in big games. He actually grades out a little higher than Washington and Gallup did when they were drafted

It's awesome to see Dak reach out to him and get to know him and approve the pick!

What makes you think that? We definitely downgraded unless you think Tolbert is better than cooper? Which he's not and never will be.

No thread yet? Haven't seen a single person dislike this pick. Good value and fills a need.
well im sure now you will get the reach accusations LOL

He reminds me of Gallup which we got in the third..hes got the same measurables and skillset. Honestly never heard of him or Gallup but if hes turns into Gallup the nfl player, im all on board.

not superior NO but not far off. everyone thinks we are looking to replace cooper um Lamb does that, he did it last year by being our leading WR.

the line moves up and you are correct Washington is being underestimated he easily as good as Wilson and this draft pick who knows but lost AC while will have small adjustment its not lie an injury game plans and a scheme all offseason will be implemented to our current roster, not as big deal as folks think.

it one thing to have super star go down midseason and try to adjust VS from day one your offense is tailored to those on the roster.

Cooper no longer has the tools to be a #1 WR. He is clearly no longer the guy we traded for in 2019 who was the best route runner in the NFL and could take the lid off defenses.
