The Cowboys replaced Connor with a 3rd round project that needs a year to develop. They replaced Gregory with a player that should be in jail and got a lucky sack against Alabama. Finally Tolbert played against weak competition and had a garbage time touchdown (sound familiar) against Tennessee. So there :facepalm:. We should have drafted Linderbaum and traded up to draft the injured Michigan defensive end.
Drafted an injured player in the 2nd round? What's next? Picking behavioral problems in the 2nd? Why, I never heard of such a thing.

Can we agree on one thing? The doom and gloomers have a right to be that way?

We'd be better off if we debated what they write rather than assume how they feel.

I am a doom and gloomer by nature. My wife is not. I try to get better and follow her lead more and more as I get older. Doom and gloom is clearly a choice. I for one like to look forward to the season, and if all I think is we are going to suck, we arent gonna make the playoffs, the Iggles are gonna kick our butts, Our owner is a scumbag, our coach is a puppet, our QB is a bum.... then I should just say screw it, and watch netflix shows everyday and skip this sport all together.

Why would I possibly want to put so much effort into something that I simply cant stand?

Hey guys, recent addition to the doom and gloom club here. Thanks for having me.

I may however, become disqualified because I'm fairly happy with the draft to this point.
That's it, turn in your chain, no strolling the halls of the mansion tonight for you!

Didnt someone draft that dude that tore is ACL on his pro day in the FIRST Rd? Imagine that.... taking a risk on an injured player that you feel is a stud? Who would do something so dumb?

how long has it been since you did "See," the team as a Super Bowl team? IM guessing its been quite a while?
true
I thought they might have a real shot in 2015....after being so close in the 2014. But injuries killed it

Then in 2016, I thought they were locked and loaded with rookie Zeke, that amazing oline, a decent (not great) defense, and hopefully 2014 level Romo.
Injuries ended that dream, though Dak/Zeke kept it alive in 2016 more than anyone expected.

Before then I could say 2007, but that would be lying if we are talking pre-season 2007. As hard as we are on their final results nobody thought that team would go 13-3 before the year started. They thought very good, not great.

But yeah, for the most part I've seen them for about what they have been. A playoff-level team that probably won't make a deep run.

I would say that Dallas had similar talent last season at those positions and didn't win a playoff game.

So its hopeless eh? All those guys we got in the last 2 drafts:

Gallimore, Diggs, Parsons, Osa, Joseph, Cox, Ball, Wright, Biadasz, Bohanna? Do any of those guys have a chance to be better this year?

Dak, Zeke, might they have a better year not injured?

What did we lose to the niners by? Less than a TD?

I think it was his Achilles. Depends on when a team need a player to play. Some of these GM's/HC's are on the hot seat and can't wait.

Happened to CHI this past season, the GM and HC needed to save their jobs and traded up for the QB and he was too late developing, if he does.

We're embarrassed for ever doubting this front office.

I dont think that was the point. The point was why even bother crying about something until you actually have a chance to fully improve your team?

You dont think most other teams lost players in FA this offseason? They all did.

Dean......Philly got him. Great pick.

Or you could mean Ojabo the DE from Michigan, that was Ravens.

But, in the end what yu see them for doesnt really matter, here is why.

IM guessing you didnt have the Rams or the Bengals as SB teams prior to last year.
Guessing you didnt have the Iggles as a SB team when they went a few years ago.
I dont know, just going out on a limb and saying if you removed the Pats from any of the teams you called SB teams prior to the season starting, Id guess you havent been all that successful in naming the SB teams prior to the season starting....lol Not a knock, because not too many people are good at it.

Well, as Rick James once said... Cocaine is a hell of a drug.
Well, The Salary Cap is a hell of an equalizer.

With the salary cap you only really get one or two year windows were you can actually win it all. Once you do, the rest of the NFL overpays for your guys and your coaches and they dismantle you. You have to be great at continuing to draft and using FA properly.

I looked up the Sam case ....... seems like a bunch of bull to me ........ I am excited about what he can do ........ and if they are moving him to guard I am good with the first pick.

Hope all 3 turn into stars ........

There is only right and wrong. If your opinion is so pathetically off base, your opinion is worthless. And lets not forget that many uninformed Cowboys fans come on here to get educated. People that have no idea what they are talking about are spewing falls BS and are a detriment anyone trying to find out the truth.
Isn't that the proverbial double edged sword? Opinions are like buttholes, our 1st round pock said that.
