2 bottom round 3rd rounders and a bottom 2nd round pick who was a 4th round player but signed a stupid contract on a napkin for a bad coach. The talent is not there at the position
Day 2 players are expected to be quality starters.

:lmao:his late 3rd round draft status?? like i said when hes played hes flashed far more than Hill ..hes far better then you are giving him credit for..:popcorn:yes he needs field time less injuries but i se a soliud player who has more upside..
He was drafted around the same spot as Osa, who showed more as a rookie then he did.

I like Gallimore a lot.

I expected him to take the next step last year, but his 4-6 week injury last August somehow kept him out until mid December.

No time to make any kind of impact, although he looked very good in his first game back. Either he stays on the field this year or I'm done with him. Excuses don't win games.

My mind uses logic and substance not rainbows and sunshine. You are just praying and hoping guys breakout and you have no basis for it. Was you training with them in the offseason and saw them working?
Your mind uses speculative negativity. You need everything in black and white, and think you’re beyond speculation. You’re hoping they fail, so others will marvel at your gridiron guruness. Being positive or hopeful is not useful to people that need guarantees.

With the primary nickel DEF, Quinn's emphasis is to stop the pass. But we lost in the play-offs because we could not stop the run. Between weeks 1-5 we averaged 79 yards conceded on the ground. Between weeks 6-18 this increased to an average of 130. We gave up an average of 4.5 yards per rush which was the worst in the league (except for Chiefs)

Expect teams to exploit this again if that is our weakness. I would like to see our best run formation used more often (3-4) until we can at least get this rushing average down to nearer what it was at the start of the season.

So you are on record as saying Gallimore will be a bust ........ gotcha.

No, not what I am saying, just comical how people on here think of things about players with little to no knowledge of anything. I am no player personnel guru. But every year its Player A is going to break out or Player B is a bust or Player C better watch out. Most of these guesses are based on sportscenter highlights or ESPN insiders or MMQB article whether their knee hurt getting out of bed the morning they made the post.

True but also at that same time the efficiency of the offense also fell off. The defense was always the defense the difference was early on Offense was efficient and made teams abandon the run towards the end the offense was the weakness of the team so teams could run more in closer games.

None of our dts have even flashed so im supposed to think that after an offseason they are going to come in and be above average players. I just dont think most of you understand how bad our dts were last year.

Bottom of the league at what?
At playing football.

Pff grades.
Carlos watkins was the best dt we had graded 57th out of 109
Next is gallimore 81st then osa at 90. Out of 109. Please these guys are bottom barrel guys in this league. Just assuming they are going to get so much better because they have more exp is crazy. They havent flashed or been dominant in any game as of yet.

Hill has been a bust so far, Gallimore had an injury, and osa and Big Bo were rookies. Those are viable REASONS.

My hopeful speculation leans toward bigger contribution from Gallimore, Odiggy, AND Bohanna. Ridgeway will definitely add spice, too. IMHO.

I'd actually be surprised if Hill makes the roster. It might be wise to try to trade him to get something for him rather than outright releasing him.

No team will offer Dallas anything . His trade value is lower then Amari Cooper . Trysten Hill & Taco Charlton were not the scouts & Jonestown’s best moments . Heck may as well throw Mo Claiborne in the mix.

And I’ll bet both Gallimore and Odiggy grade out better than 57th in 2022.

We need to actually spend money in the position in order to get quality to get something out of here.
