Brady, Mahmoes, and Rodgers are the only truly elite QBs in the NFL in my opinion.

My criteria for "elite" QB is that you're an NFL MVP and a Super Bowl champ that is still playing at a very high level.

The MVP is a vote of 50 sportswriters based solely on regular season play. Using that as "elite" criteria makes little sense to me.

Joe Burrow was the most sacked QB in 2021 yet dragged a clown show organization to the Super Bowl and was one stop away from winning it as a road game.

If you're waiting for sportswriters to tell you he's "elite"...

Totally a click bait list. The only quarterbacks that have proven they can win without great talent are Josh Allen and Aaron Rodgers. Lamar is the best running back in the league and the Ravens always had one of the best defenses in the league during his MVP season. Dashawn Watson was 4-12 his last season with Houston. Dereck Carr is Dak Prescott. Justin Herbert has won nothing since he has been in the league. Tom looked liked he was washed with the Patriots the last two seasons. Once Wilson lost that defense in Seattle he came back down to earth. I will be interesting to see what he does in Denver.

You're more loose with your definition of "elite" then I am, and that's fine.

Burrow has to show consistency. He played VERY well last year, now do it again.

Mahomes, Rodgers, and Brady are in my first tier. Burrow is in my 2nd tier right now.

Some much more then other other though, which is why Dan has split them up.

Jimmy G leads his team to more success than most of the guys on that 1st tweet, but are the 49ers winning them because of his play specifically? No.
They aren’t losing because of him which is what many of Daks bashers are saying.

Matthew Stafford never did anything until he had an offense and defense to share the load. I think Stafford is a good QB and showed he was capable of helping get his team to a SB but he had all key part in place. Defense with Aaron Donald, Von Miller, Jalen Ramsey and on offense Kupp, Higbee, OBJ
Carr has career losing record
He’s had 2 winning season
QB’s don’t win games, teams do

Lamar Jackson had a losing record
Yes bc his team isn’t good. The thread is titled qb you win games because of. Ravens win games because of Lamar.

Edit***And no, you are wrong. Lamar didn’t have a losing record. Try again.

I think that’s legit
I think burrow is the next elite but I agree you are elite for doing over a longer period

This is the same QB that ran out of the back of the endzone. He doesn't really know how to process things well.

Here’s my Elite list:

Josh Allen
Joe Burrow
Patrick Mahomes
Justin Herbert
Russel Wilson
Aaron Rodgers
Tom Brady
Matthew Stafford
I don't know about Stafford, he led Detroit to nothing, and led a team full of stars to the Super Bowl.

The 49ers would of had at least 1 ring if they had a better QB than Jimmy G.

The Rams made it to a Super Bowl with Goff. They knew they needed better, got Stafford, and instantly won a ring.

There are levels to things. The team around them matter, but at the end of the day the most important position on the field plays a huge part on wins/loses.

all pundits have figured Dak out . 42 mil a year average salary and not actual results or CCG or SB is crazy.
Even his staunchest supporters in the media are giving up . Stephen A just had a segement where he says enough is enough , dak has to show he belongs and no more excuses are acceptable.

Dan is a Twitter tool.

I don't even disagree with your statement, but these lists are pretty accurate.

Lot of guys have the physical talent to win in the NFL. But mental aptitude & heart is what separates them. What separates them even further is the guys who can consistently bring a high level game.

He pretty fairly listed the guys you expect to be good on any given week and the guys who can be good but aren't as consistent. IMO

I respect your opinion, but it's literally a useless take that cannot be measured or compared. It's not one on one. You know what makes a QB consistent? A consistent team, well, because it's a team sport.
Dan's takes have flip-flopped over the years so much I'm really surprised more haven't caught on. And we won't get into his biased approach.
