Agree but I do not think DFW would support two teams. I think it is a stretch for LA to do that unless they are true contenders. Chicago doesn’t have two.
True but they did have two up until 1960 when Cardinals moved to St Louis. And they have two MLB teams .

It’s tough to say if we’d support 2 teams . We abundantly support one we collectively hate the owner . Honestly I’d never considered it before . Knew Metroplex was growing crazily but hadn’t realized the threshold it was nearing . Mind boggling.

It’s football . In Texas. If they won we’d support them.

Dallas has had 2 professional football teams before.

It’s not that much of a stretch especially considering the DFW metro area is soon to become the 3rd largest in US only behind NY and LA who both have 2 NFL franchises.

NY has 3 franchises if we are being honest.

Local competition might be the only thing to get Jerry to act serious about winning a Super Bowl. He doesn't like that idea.

What makes you say that ? I think it would be great for North Texas to have a second NFL team.

And I’ve been a fan of the Cowboys since their inception even though they weren't the first professional football team in Dallas.

I was a fan of both teams and would be again.
I have common sense and you don't.

Unless American sports start operating like Europe, where you can have multiple teams per city, it's not happening. Even with the region getting 10 million in population. Even Chicago won't ever get another second team.

“Well, I like the mayor,” Jones told Calvin Watkins. “I like him personally, but he doesn’t have the depth. He doesn’t have the knowledge that others have regarding how unique Dallas is and how we enjoy the interest in the Cowboys. He wouldn’t want to water that down as it relates to Dallas if he knew as much, and has spent as much time in sports as I have.”

I am all for the Dallas Cowboys coming to the NFL. Having almost 30 years of the Arlington Jonesboys pretending to be the Dallas Cowboys just doesn't work.

first off another NFL team would not work that close together, no way..the Texans have enough issues

now getting an XFL or USFL or whatever the other leagues are maybe that cold work but jerry has nothing to do with-it

they could not tear this fan base not enough of them away for some kind of expansion team in Dallas..

what would you call them?? cant use Dallas in the name, not Texas or Texans..

San Antonio would be viable but Dallas that would into work IMOP

Chiefs left because they knew this ages ago..

this is like trying to use a VCR vs Betamax LOL there can only be one winner..that would be the Cowboys.

This isn’t about what you or I are interested in. This is about bringing a second team to the 3rd largest metro area in the US. As always , follow the money trail.

what's your fascination w/ "largest metro area" lol. Also still behind Chicago. San Antonio is squarely in the conversation

you can stop watching, talking, and following the Dallas Cowboys anytime, real fans don't care , we wouldn't miss you crying little babies. Seriously many of you for a fan base that claims thy hate all things Jerry and Stehen Jones you sure waste a lot of time walking about them. I mean they own free space in your feeble minds..

you can go try and support another franchise be in half full stadiums or half price seats and cheesy promotions for years trying to get off the ground and fail; and maybe this new franchise jersey you buy will be worth something once its fails and they go bankrupt.

the NFL most likely would not even approve this..would take years and years before expansion is approved and then the stadium built and they can market this..as an investor i doubt they get on board.

its more then likely Austin or San Antonio that gets an expansion NFL team..

but first thing first, where's the announcement by the NFL that they are ready to expand??

Dallas Texans!
Or call them The Good Guys
Or
The Vaqueros
And market them as a team that relies on ... good guys!
Or "The Texas GM'S" as a name, with a GM at the helm, with who they go on to win a superbowl under.
Meanwhile JJ hasn't sniffed an NFC Champ game since King Arther roamed the realm ..... oh the irony.

Maybe another team in Dallas would give Jerry the threat and competition to hire a real GM ????

Can't blame him. Plus, the last time Dallas had two pro team, one ended up moving away to Kansas City.
I’m not sure why fans want to make this about our owner . Dallas and the Metroplex aren’t expected to reach the third largest metro area until the 2030’s based on current growth trend . Most likely he’ll be six feet under by then.
