I seriously doubt it. That's wishful thinking. Lynch was what Lynch was which was not good.

Stafford played on a limited team and no one ever doubted his talents. Burrow played behind a limited line and no one doubts his talent. Wilson lost all the offensive talent around him and no one doubts his talent.

Lynch would have been a worse version of Dak. If he had any level of talent he would be playing some where even as a backup. Lynch sucked.
Just more Dak trolling from him.

I'm not so sure.

I mean I can't think of a single QB in the history of the NFL that had all of that going for them.

I think Lynch could have handed the ball of the Zeke just as well and bought himself time to learn and get better in the system.

I think both Dak and Lynch's career would have turned out much differently if they switched places.

Well any QB can turn around and hand the ball off, if what your insinuating is thats all Dak does you will be hard pressed to account for his passing totals over the his career....like stats dont like stats they can actually show he has done way more than just hand the ball off...for Lynch no one can say what he would do because apparently he wasn't good enough in his teams eyes to keep getting a chance.

And for the record Brady took over a playoff caliber Bledsoe led team in 2000. Just been to SB couple years before. Staubach took over a SB team in his second season.

Most Rookies don’t get the opportunity to take over a playoff caliber team. But the Cowboys were two years removed from being a playoff team. 4-12 the previous season.

No, just more trolling from a noted and desperate Dak Troll. Lol

Well I couldn't care less about what our players including Dak make. Let 'em have all the money in the world, I don't care.

But what's absolutely disappointing is, that Jerry seems to think that this is a good team and we have a keeper as a QB. When all they (and especially Dak as the key difference maker on the field) do is embarrass us and themselves against the true contenders for the SB.

Tiresome.

Again, your stance is based on what you saw not what was reported .

I’m assuming if you hadn’t visibly noticed Elliotts you might have denounced it as well.

And what about Pollards injury? Any impact to our offense . And our 2 OL who helped us lead league in holding calls . Any impact on our offense .

What was reported? I know he had a calf injury. I'm denying it had anything to do with his play after the Vikings game.

So wins against good teams don't matter because we eeked out wins. It has to be a dominant trashing else it doesn't count. Because God knows all these other teams just trash and dominate good teams in their wins...ala Tampa beating and trashing cowboys....oh, wait....

You could have at least used a good example. Not a week 1 example. Got a lot of weeks to pick from.

Didn't been bay get blown out in week 1 by like 40 points. Week 1 is a preseason game that counts.

Besides, I'm not even sure what you're arguing. My observations?

Lol you had a good point up until the 2015 season. The one where Romo was injured? At one point they were 3-7. All 3 wins Romo started. The losses up until that point were from backups. So yeah, I think had Romo played all year, we make the playoffs.

But that doesn’t discount the overall argument or point. We had gone to playoffs in 2014 but it has been 5 years in 2009 before that. Certainly not a proven playoff historied team . Could we have made playoffs if Romo stayed healthy. Of course but that want the argument .

He has me on ignore. Thanks for quoting me so he'll see it! Bring it on.

I'm trying to apply consistent logic and reason. How can Dak suffer from an "o-line went into the toilet".....but not Zeke. Doesn't add up.

Couple seasons ago...He was telling me how bad zeke sucks and was only rushing champ because number of carries. I should him E. Smith number of carries and he dropped me right then and there. Good times.
They both suffered from the decline of the line. I value the qb position more than the rb position and I believe that anywhere between 5 to 8 backs could have put up zekes post 16 season numbers .
That season IMO he was special but has went south since.

the line was the reason they both excelled IMO

You were right that it is rare a rookie QB goes in to a good situation. But we were coming off a 12-4 season in 2014 and shed RB Murray. Romo was out for 11 weeks in 2015. Dak came into a good team and they leaned on Zeke heavily. Dak is a good QB, I'll admit, but he did not inherit a trash team. That was a run heavy ball control offense, much like the 2014 team.

You're not going to get anywhere with these Dak homers.

The injury is an excuse. Dak himself don't even use it and said it was no issue.

For the life of me I do not understand the Dak Masiah syndrome. Some people probably have rooms dedicated to Dak statistics. Pages and pages of print outs surrounded by candles and photos. I don't know why we can't just accept that he's a good QB, nothing more.

Because he has a star on his helmet.

If he played for Washington, NY, or Philly they would not think so highly of him.

I don’t recall saying it was a trash team. It should have been much better than 4-12 2025 team. Without Murray we didn’t know if 2016 wouid be as good . We were hopeful with Romo’s return and with drafting Elliott. It should have been a pretty good team .

But my argument was it wasn’t a proven playoff team. One appearance only 5 years isn’t how I’d describe proven playoff team.

And I agreed with Romo healthy we could have returned to playoff caliber again . But there wasn’t any guarantee . Dak deserves some credit for running off 11 straight wins . Something Romo had never done .

I think we are fairly close in our view . I’m not sure you want to give Dak his due credit . I’m willing to concede it was a good offensive team to walk into. Also I’d note that I was in favor of bringing Romo back for the playoffs.

For some reason there are many Cowboys fans who don’t see the success Dak is having.

He’s winning divisions and propping up an otherwise bottom dwelling franchise into some relevance and interest.

yeah, winning this East division is a real benchmark of success……we would have finished dead last with Seattle in the NFC West and its not even debatable

I am not saying Lynch couldn't hand off...the point is that cowboys did try to get a first round QB. In your Best case scenario and that's a stretch he would be Dak like. But you are arguing we need to move on from Dak...so we would have spent a first round pick and now have to move on.....

No one and I mean no one would ever say Lynch would be a good QB in NFL. He is no where close to what Dak is and you want to get rid of Dak.

Lynch would have ended up exactly where he is today. If he had any talent he would be on some team. He even failed out of Canadian league I believe...

Let this one go.

…….I think you miss the point. If there wasn’t a cap, none of us would give a rip what any player makes. However when there’s this salary cap thingy, every dollar spent has to have value. I wish we didn’t have to factor in salaries commensurate to performance.

what do value mean?
