And for the record Brady took over a playoff caliber Bledsoe led team in 2000. Just been to SB couple years before. Staubach took over a SB team in his second season.

Most Rookies don’t get the opportunity to take over a playoff caliber team. But the Cowboys were two years removed from being a playoff team. 4-12 the previous season.

No, just more trolling from a noted and desperate Dak Troll. Lol
Actually the Patriots were on a four-year slide from the Super Bowl XXXI appearance before the they turned it around to win Super Bowl XXXVI follwing the 2001 season.
1996___11-5, 1st AFC East; AFC Champions
1997___10-6, 1st AFC East, wildcard win, divisional round loss
1998_____9-7, 4th AFC East, wildcard loss
1999_____8-8, 5th AFC East, no playoffs
2000____5-11, 5th AFC East, no playoffs

You shouldn't concern yourself with my attendance here as your real dilemma (IF you are a Cowboy fan) is how Dak goes MIA in games vs real defenses.......:omg:....and wakes up when its Garbage time to fall a day and dollar short once again!!!
It just shows the type of person you are when you can get on the internet and face that the idiotic predictions you’ve made (against your team) don’t come true.
I mean, it’s the internet and you can’t do it. You know it. I know it. It’s weak and it says a lot about you.

I order you to disappear for several weeks this season. If you defy my order you will come here and make a fool of yourself with dum dum excuses that don’t make sense. Either way we all win.

Is it really an insult? I guess, but it’s a basic description of your past behavior.

Do you really trust the Jones' boys to get anyone better than Dak? Just look at the trash we went through after Aikman retired. Luckily for us Sean Payton knew of an undrafted rookie free agent (Romo) out of Eastern Illinois and got Parcells to take a flier on him. Then the year they drafted Dak they were trying to get Paxton Lynch and later Connor Cook before drafting Dak.

But I agree with you on one thing. The 2022 and 2023 seasons should give us a good read in how Dallas should proceed going into the 2024 season. I just hope that if they move on from Dak they have a better plan in place than drafting a QB because I don't trust the Jones boys when it comes to identifying a QB.

Thank you!!!!

If we get a good Defense we will be able to make a deeper run.. I still think if we went after garapilo more in that playoff game we would have had a better chance of winning. We let him stand back there.

The game was lost in the 4th when the Cowboys:
1. Failed to stop the 49ers on a 3rd and 4 deep in SF territory.
2. Committed 3 penalties on the defense on 1 drive, all 3 netted SF a first down. Worst was Gregory literally tackling a SF o-lineman, got him in a bear hug and totally missed the play, the runner was going outside, have zero idea what Gregory was thinking.
3. Committed another defensive penalty and let SF run the clock down after getting a first down off the penalty, resulting in Dallas having like 45 seconds to go 80 yards for a td.

The defense HAS TO CUT DOWN ON THE PENALTIES. Otherwise it'll be the same story this year...

Ranched very much is a Cowboys fan
Ranched said this when talking up Washington in another thread...

More than a decade RGIII. The 2022 group has yet to take a snap together, but on paper, this unit may indeed be the most talented, balance team we’ve had since Dan bought the franchise in 1999. It's up to Wentzie taking advantage of the talent he has around him.

Their D was ranked 2nd when they won the division in 2020. Not so good last season missing players. Their schedule isn’t loaded w/elite quarterbacks. Also, the communication issues that plagued Washington’s defense early last season improved in the second half of the season.

I too thought they were a Cowboys fan, so when I saw them say "we've" when talking up Washington it threw me off.

I don't know about you, but I don't know of any Cowboys fans that say "We" when talking about Washington.

Ranched could easily come out and say they're not a Washington fan, but they won't do it for some reason. They reply to other things I post, but when I pose the "Are you a Washington fan" question it's just crickets.

By "we've", I don't think Ranching meant that as thought they're a Washington fan. Note that the post also says "Their D". I'm thinking it's possible that there may have been a typo. Additionally, I've known Ranching for a long time both on this forum and the previous one. Ranching is a Cowboys fan through and through as far as I know.

It's not Ranching, it's Ranched.

I'm sure it was a typo. A Freudian slip if you may.

Sorry, I meant Ranched, who I've also known for a very long time including on the previous board. She's been a very staunch Cowboys fan as long as I can recall. I don't think it was Freudian. I genuinely think she just made a typo. She's given me no reason to think she pulls for an NFL team besides ours.

If they go to the Super Bowl you won't be calling it stupid.

Or maybe you will, who knows?

I'm not sure Watson ever sees the field again much less being on the field during a Super Bowl. Also, I live in Cleveland, and I can tell you he's quickly becoming a massive pariah here in Cleveland as far as the fans go. Sadly, the Browns fans deserve better considering the horrible play they've had excluding 2020.

I had no reason to believe different either until I saw that "we've" while talking very highly of them. It threw me off.

It's no big deal to me if they are or they aren't though. I'd just prefer to know if I'm talking to a Cowboys fan or a Commanders fan.

I get that, but I don't think she meant anything by the "we've" part.

It's a crappy situation for sure.

I think he 100% plays again. How good he will be is another question.

Going to back to what Cleveland gave up for him, I don't think they will miss any of those picks if they get a Super Bowl run out of it. I don't believe the Rams are missing those 1st they gave up for Stafford and Ramsey.

The problem is, the Browns fans here don't see it that way. He might get another chance to play just based on what was given up and assuming nobody else comes forward. However, by that point, he won't have played for 2 years. That's a long time to go without playing, and he'll be, I think, 29 by that point. Also, the Browns fans here would have rather had the picks so they could've drafted a different QB. They want Baker gone big time. At least, one of my roommates does and several other Browns fans I am friends with. That said, when I even mentioned trading for Watson was a possibility, most fans were saying they'd rather keep Baker. And now with this, he's lucky the Browns gave up what they did. The Browns fans here would run him out if they could. He better play at a HOF level when he begins starting, or the fans here are going to make life miserable for him.
