You don’t buy it simply BECAUSE it involves the Cowboys. You seem unhappy with every aspect of this team. Kinda like saying you love your wife, but hating everything she says or does. Makes no sense.
Do you buy that Zeke was hurt bad enough to hurt his production, but not bad enough to play in a meaningless game with the playoffs a week later?

This will be Zeke’s 7th season and with all his past talents and with him being the highest paid RB in the NFL, we have made the playoffs only 3 times, winning one wild card game. He’s not THAT valuable.

People forget that when Zeke arrived here in 2016, he already had 650 combined rushes and receptions during college. Since then, he has 1,938 total touches in 6 NFL seasons. That means in 9 straight seasons (including college) Zeke has 2,588 total touches. That’s a lot of miles on those tires.

And Zeke isn’t like Emmitt or Walter Payton who kept themselves in top shape and had great seasons into their 30s.

Ezekiel Elliott may have a couple more seasons as an NFL starting RB. But as the top paid RB in the league, his production cannot match his payday. And his body can no longer produce the kind of seasons he had early in his career.

This offense ran for over 200 yards a game in our six game win streak. Zeke hurt his hip before he hurt his knee. Pollard had a foot injury in December that lasted the year. With sustained line play and better play calling we can get back to our winning ways again. Tyler Smith is an automatic upgrade, so we just need steady play at the center position.

I think he wasn’t 100%, but he wanted to get a thousand, because he knew anything less would’ve brought out millions of overreactive “fans”, and assorted critics and “journalists” ripping him online for click$.

I highly doubt he thought barely getting 1,000 yards for the year and needing to play the Eagles practice squad to get it will shut people up.

I don't buy the injury thing from him. I think he's just washed and some fans can't come to terms with that reality.

1,369 yards this season. Mark it down. The hate for Zeke on this board is quite entertaining. Kind of like the daily drivel that we receive from our.

Can you prove Zeke isn't in good shape right now? Can you prove Zeke's body can no longer produce? He had 100 yards in six straight games before things spiraled out of control. Injures slow production and that's a fact.

You doubt it, I don’t.

You keep saying Eagles practice squad, like we wouldn’t have spanked them if they’d have played their starters. They pulled their guys to save them for the playoffs. They already knew we’d spank any team they put out, so why waste their resources? Also, we played without several regulars also.

Best shape of his life.... again

He certainly played like he was in the best shape since his rookie year early last season. Let's hope he's not to the point where his body can't hold up. A full season like those first five or six games (even with the Tampa game where we essentially chose not to run) would be pretty special.

You'll see this season that Zeke is washed.

Whether or not you chose to accept it is up to you.

Every aging player has an offseason like this - they are the "best shape they have ever been in", then the season happens and the wear and tear on their body plays more of a role than their offseason conditioning.

Zeke is 26 playing like he is 30. Pretty typical of a former workhorse RB. Nature of the position. Even if he has a big season, I expect it to be his last.
