Is Dak only a Tier 2 QB?

The Dak trolls can’t handle any legitimacy directed towards Dak.

They aren’t interested in anything but he suks or is a lemon. And why it’s so blatant. And wayyyyy past time it needs to be called out.
I bet if you made a list of the Negative Nellies and silenced them there would be 5 or 6 comments. Heck, even the Mods are defending them, they must be on the payroll

I don't really have any skin in the game for Cousins, but if you just go by numbers, he belongs in that 2nd tier too.

While with the Vikings the last 4 years--so only years that really matter, the recent ones--he has top 5 numbers.
Not AT ALL saying he's top 5, of course...or even top 10. But he would have an argument to be higher on that list.
I mean, his numbers are better than Dak's across the board over that same time frame, for example.

Agree. So you either put Cousins up to the mid/lower 2nd tier with Prescott or push Prescott down to the 3rd tier.

Needs to be a meme.
I want to learn more about these "memes" peeps keep referring to.
I may live in the jungle most of the time, but I have some really mad graphic arts skills that I still keep in my pocket, and maybe someday when I get tired I will focus in that area.
Right now Im doing my best to not get bit by poisonous snakes and crunched by large crocks.
Im living my mid 50s as far as I can push them.
I am admitted behind the tech dude, but have jungle skills that would freak out a lot of you, Im not being rude here, I really want to know about these "memes."

Yeah, this is something a punk kid would do to try and stir up the forum. Save the world! smfh
Do we really want this forum dominated by a vocal minority?

Maybe some fans don’t care . It’s my nature to take it on. They’re like bullies who need their butts kicked.

I feel like you are pulling my leg but okay I will bite. Meme is a photo (or more)...often the same photo passed around to different meme makers...with some clever or sarcastic text accommodating it. You have seen them here! Here is one:

Leave Dak where he is and make the run defense Tier 1 and lets see how it works....

No, I’m just taking Dak on because our forum is fed up with the trolls dominating the narrative on the subject to the point most fans in the middle don’t even want to participate.
Broaden your horizons my friend.

The question for me is simply: Who cares what "tier" the mediots put Dak in? Will he play any better if they put him in tier 1? Will he fall on his face if they put him in tier 3 or 4? The answer is obviously no. These rankings are fodder for "discussions" but we all know they don't have a damn thing to do with anything. Frankly I like the way Dak plays when he's doubted so I hope they keep telling him he's only a mid to bottom tier QB. He seems to use it as fuel.. which usually works out pretty good for the Cowboys. But he's gotta figure out how to stay healthy this year. Any injury that forces him to miss time honing his mechanics has been shown to be a killer for him.

Why are these the only years that really matter? Because it suits your narrative? Was he not playing those other 6 seasons? Look I think Cousins is a legitimate NFL starting QB. He does not suck.. but I do think he chokes and he plays too conservatively trying to protect his passer rating (IMHO) instead of taking shots to help his team win. He's also a C-minus athlete so if you have a good pass rush you can absolutely neuter him. H

With Dallas Cowboys training camp practices on the horizon, eyes will be on the field for the first time in a while. The person that will likely be the center of attention is the face of the franchise, quarterback Dak Prescott.

Prescott is to many a highly regarded talent in the league, but according to a survey by The Athletic of 50 coaches and executives across the NFL, Prescott is a Tier 2 quarterback. In fact, he comes in just outside of the top 10 at No. 11.

Tier 1:
1. Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers (1.00 Voting Average)
2. Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs (1.02)
3. Tom Brady, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1.16)
4. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills (1.22)
5. Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers (1.28)
6. Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals (1.34)
Tier 2:
7. Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams (1.68)
8. Russell Wilson, Denver Broncos (1.72)
9. Deshaun Watson, Cleveland Browns (1.88)
10. Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens (2.00)
11. Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys (2.10)
12. Derek Carr, Las Vegas Raiders (2.10)
13. Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals (2.32)
14. Matt Ryan, Indianapolis Colts (2.46)

Seems like a good list, but I'd have Herbert below Burrow and probably Stafford. The AFC West is rough, but Herbert needs to get the Chargers to the playoffs this year.

I also can't have Watson that high. He hasn't played a snap since 2020 and now he's with a new team (and not sure when he'll start).

We've got fans on this board who would put Dak in Tier 4. :muttley:

A lemon is not rated Tier 2.

There’s fair criticism and then there’s blatant trolling blaming QB on our lack of success.
This same poster (i am assuming pappy. I ignored him so I am not sure) said that they paid Dak for winning 1 playoff game.

I responded with "They paid Romo before he won a playoff game"

He didnt respond.

I put a bit more credence in this list because it's not media - it's a survey of 50 NFL coaches and executives.
