There is a long list of players and coaches in the HOF that left there HOF teams and moved on to other teams and accomplished far less, or little to nothing thereafter….. It’s not uncommon.

You are correct. Heck. It makes Jones skin crawl simply for anyone to question him about Johnson being put in the Ring. I am not sure what his frame of mind will be if finds himself peer-pressured enough into doing the deed.

He may need a new prescription of Xanax to cope during "Jimmy Johnson Week." Or an entire case of Johnnie Walker Blue Label. Whichever's cheapest.

I have long suspected Jerry wants to wait until the Cowboys win another Super Bowl so Jimmy would be a little less esteemed and respected among the Cowboys fan base.

Right now, the last 3 Super Bowls are attributed to Jimmy because most fans believe that Switzer won the last one with Jimmy's team.

So, if Jerry added Jimmy now he would have to deal with endless, "Do you regret ... ?" questions where a new Super Bowl win would help dilute Jimmy's accomplishments a little.

indeed. he will freak out ( LOL). the sad thing is he does not need to be this way . his sports franchise ( the cowboys ) is the most valuable in the world . If he just follow the Stan Kroenke model of ownership and gives the experts space to operate . Stan kroenke owns 8 franchises including the Rams , Nuggets , Avalanche , Arsenal soccer club UK etc etc . and he hires the best GMs and coaches and lets them work .
Am sure Stan ( jerry's freind by the way ) one day will tell him why not give it up !! then jerry will stop being stan's freind ( LOL)
