His in or dig route on 1 on 1s you can hear the vibration in one of the videos - not the official dc video with his foot making contact with the dirt, remarkable he looks very good excited to see if he plays next week

I have seen Brown make some tough catches. He is big and strong, can go over the middle and most importantly he has a rapport with Dak. Dak clearly likes him. Probably knows the offense and the WR positions as good as anybody on the squad.

No he usually drops it in games or deflects into the oppositions hands.
That has never actually happened.

On the play vs the Seahawks, the defender hit him before the ball arrived, but it was not obvious on the broadcast.

I don’t think at this point in a guys career he becomes any more than he is
He’s a guy who can catch the ball if he gets open and he’s a good ST player
If you put enough guys around him drawing attention so he can get open he can catch it
But he’s not beating many guys to get himself open
You can scheme lots of guys open who aren’t being covered by a D’s best players
The early part of the season is gonna require the oline to play very well and Moore to get creative
Miles Austin's breakout was in year 4.

Brown has played in 50 games which equates to 3 season plus 2 games.

Brown has a more clearly defined role on this team than any of the other comp at WR2, just saying what the score card is at this point.
Without Gallup, Washington, its all about Noah helping out much more than most would have ever expected nor wanted , but this is just the reality currently.

I'm starting to think the FO/staff has some faith in Noah Brown to be a starter. He's been here six years but he's still only 26 and has shown some ability as a receiver and blocker. He's trimmed down and looks good in camp.

You never know... He might be just as good as Will Fuller, and more reliable. I hope so. Brown has been one of my pet cats every year.

Maybe Noah Brown and Tolbert and Fehoko are all starting caliber players, the Gallup contract was unnecessary, and you can let CeeDee walk in 2 years. I’m not being facetious… It is absolutely possible.

But what is the probability that a guy who’s been on the team this long, hasn’t consistently made any impact on the team over his tenure, has 0 career TD receptions suddenly wakes up one morning during his fifth offseason and is a completely different player?

Not at all saying it’s not possible, but how probable is it? We’re gambling with one of the toughest stretches of the cowboys season here, and the early part where Dak does his best/usually builds his confidence.

Could happen.

I thought that we already established that we are in trouble.

well apparently “availability” is a big issue for Jerry so I presume Gallup will be held to the same standard so missing two games should be enough for Jerry to ship him off to Cleveland for a fifth round pick if he’s not ready to go by week 2 right?

Not Gallup, we need him back asap, but dont want to see them rush it.
He is no number 1 but he is a solid WR2.
I do hear you loud and clear though, that double standard will just frustrate you.

Hes playing with the first team now. Dak has shown that he can get the ball to just about anyone.

he is what he is after so many years....he is not going to break out...he has some skills that you can plug in a bind and have him play WR. he is not going to get game planned around. he has trouble getting separation, his speed is not that good. but he is reliable. he is a great special teamer. for the 5th or 6th guy on the depth chart, he better be a good special team, which is what he is.

plus, he hasn't been playing with the ones, or against starting defense. so take what comes out of the camp with a grain of salt.

Noah Brown has looked terrific in the camp videos.
- One of the media guys said that he has not seen a dropped pass by Brown.
- Brown looks visibly quicker. He appears to be at his lowest weight at any point is his NFL career.

I'm not expecting a Miles Austin break-out season, but I think Brown could exceed what Cedrick Wilson contributed.
- The Miles Austin break-out was his 4th season.
- Noah Brown has played 50 games, which would equate to only 3 seasons in the 17 game era.

He made another spectacular catch on 30 down the sideline in the recorded practise yesterday, with Grier throwing to him.

Can’t wait to see him Saturday night

Because Cooper and Wilson were better receivers than him. He was a 6th or 7th round draft pick. He shouldn’t have even made the team to begin with. Mind you he was raw. Im not saying he’s a star…..I just think he can contribute. Not sure how much but he seems to be having a great camp…..
He's been here longer than Wilson was, and Wilson STILL beat him out for playing time.
Second, I thought this thread was about whether Brown is ready. By ready, I would think we mean whether he can take on a substantial role in the offense. What good is he if the role he plays this season is the same as previous seasons?
He's been here since 2017, and he hasn't gotten much more playing time than he has so far.
That's not a guy I would consider is ready.
