I think that you are absolutely wrong. Joseph is in hot water.
If he wasn't a second round pick, I'd agree with you. But, I've got no emotional investment in being right. If he gets cut because someone else is outplaying him, so be it.

So you are saying you have no moral compass? (no emotional investment in being right)

How many 2nd round picks get to go around in drive by shootings and kill a person and get to be NFL players?

Is it anywhere near trying to get a happy ending?

I don't know how much hotter the water can get. Can't understand why Goodle hasn't suspended him.

We've seen ONE pre-season game. Folks need to settle down.

having 2 decent young CBs that can be developed to offer a good rotation & quality depth is a great problem to have.

I didn't say anything about not having a moral compass. Nothing at all. Nor did I insinuate that in any way. I practically said the opposite. You're battling a windmill that simply isn't there.

I have NO EMOTIONAL INVESTMENT ABOUT BEING RIGHT in that I don't think he will get cut. I didn't say whether he should be cut or not. Personally, I think he shouldn't have been picked. He wouldn't be on the team if I was making the call. You didn't follow what I wrote. I didn't like the pick. I didn't like the news last year about not able to perform in training camp. I don't like that he was in the car in a drive-by shooting where a guy died. And it won't bother me at all if I'm wrong and they cut him. Not one bit.

I don't think he will get cut. BUT...if I'm wrong about that, I'm not emotionally invested in being right.

I guess now that La'el Collins is gone the doghouse is empty so Kelvin Joseph can move in. LOL.

I think Bland is getting more attention because he is a 5th round pick coming out of nowhere. The expectations are low and he is exceeding them. Joseph is a 2nd round pick and expected to play well. I saw nothing in the Denver preseason game that would lead me to believe he is in danger of getting cut. He didn't see as many ball come his way last week as Wright did. He seemed to be in good position most of the time.

I would be shocked if Joseph gets cut based on his play on the field. As for league punishment. I do believe the Cowboys would be aware if Joseph is being investigated by the league and is subject to a lengthy suspension. If he was really just in the wrong place at the wrong time I don't think the league will suspend him more than a couple of games if at all. The league policy is not very clear on his situation. It mostly deals the actions of the players themselves and not the people they hang out with. The policy does mention cooperation with police being an imperative, and we have heard Joseph did cooperate fully.

Joseph got on the wrong side of the fans so he will catch a lot of hate for a few years.

To clarify, I’m not sure if it was in the game or during joint practices.

There is no question in the practices, he is getting beat when he is not holding. That is why I think he spent little time this offseason working on technique. It's regressed.

When I consider the type's of things he was doing instead of improving his game, I'm not a fan.

Some fans can look past his failures off the field and realize that he's underachieving on the field. Bland is getting more attention because he's making plays. Joseph hasn't been talked about in training camp either, so one can assume if he's not getting his fair share of opportunities that it's on him.
Take the Denver game. A perfect example of a game-like situation. Bland and Wright had the most tackles.Joseph had one. In the scrimmaging vs. the Chargers Bland lit it up.
A 5th rounder as a rookie is outshining a 2nd year 2nd rounder.

Joseph is the most talented CB on our roster, and it's not close. Only question remaining is, can he cut his crapp and play. Of that, I have serious doubts. Way too early to just cut him, though. Silly to be screaming for that now.

Why do people scream for players they don't like to be cut? Very weird, to me. Jos should only be cut if the team determines that he's not going to improve enough.

He's going to have to suck beyond suckage to just get cut.

He won’t get cut this year. But next year, if he’s still an issue, he actually saves a small amount of cap space. He’s going to be gone if he doesn’t improve.

if bland beats out Joseph, then it is what it is. better player gets to play. I assume top 3 is set with Diggs, Brown, Lewis. so bland is probably end up the 4th guy if he continues like this.

joseph may end up 5th or 6th on the depth chart if he continues like this. I said it last year and I say it again based on his play this year, he is not focused on football, that's not where his passion lies. but I don't think they will cut him, because he is a 2nd round pick only in his second year.
