Jerry Jones said its safe to say Tyler Smith is the starting LT for the season opener.

So he wasn't ready to be LT at start of training camp but all of a sudden he's ready to be LT after taking 0 reps all camp and preseason.

Yeah that makes sense

Jerry Jones. is a man of unfettered optimism, often to being delusional.

I normally trust only a portion of what he verbally wants to promote. o_O

But the only way we'll find out just what Tyler has in store is to use him.

Now here's a past LT that was moved to Guard.

Exactly what should have been done with Tyron this training camp to allow Tyler reps at LT.

Instead the team took the reactive approach and just hoped for the best.

Now here we are.
He played LT with the Bears last season.

"Jason Peters' 77.5 PFF Grade in 2021 was the highest by a Bears Tackle since 2017."

The doctors that looked at it would be negligent if that were the case. That line of thinking is more paranoia than likely.

Getting the severity of an injury wrong is not negligence. You can examine a patient and think one thing will happen and something else does. It is only negligence if you completely overlook something. When the Dr says he should be ready and then the player aggravates the injury, it isn't negligence. I would look at signing Peters more as an insurance policy. We are going to look stupid if we don't sign him and someone else does and then Smith sucks and we have no other option.

Didn’t he always do the leg kick a second before the snap? He never got called for it in Philly. He sure as heck will be called for this if he becomes a Cowboy.
