If they sign Peters, I am interested what role they have in mind for him. Starter? Swing? I would have him start at LT and keep Tyler inside. In an event Peters goes down, revert to the original plan of shifting Tyler to Tackle.
That’s exactly as I hope. I want Smith left inside as much as possible this first season.

however, we really don’t know what they’ll do with Peters if they sign him.

means little. MAYBE they seen him on that ankle. Is it a coincidence we are suddenly having peters visit? Hmm...Maybe MM aint feelin all warm and fuzzy about the idea of having a LT start day 1 with a bum wheel...

Lol, a player practicing means little determining injury status?

U better be fine with Dak getting punished then.
you better understand if needed they can double , chip, short passing game, run game, pa pass, two TE sets even 3 , short passes to Turpin and Pollard for max YAC, moving lamb in motion more times than not. , you can punish an overly aggressive defense if that how they play it,..

last year wasn't the blueprint ,,

stop the run and play 4 man lines no blitz and max coverage to make dak struggle?? now you think they will bring the house? you are making assumptions. lets play the game then debate the outcomes not all this hyperbole.

my fear is MOORE can he cover up those holes as i feel we should, can he help himself not just try and force his old play calls and scheme on the current roster. He needs to better utilize our new toys like Pollard and Turpin from the slot, use Lamb like lamb, not like Cooper..

means he isnt penciled in yet. It just means he practiced. We just really don't know what level he can play at. Jerry said he had a high ankle sprain. They can linger many weeks. I for 1 don't want my LT starting on a bad wheel week 1. Sorry.

thats a dumb idea risking Dak . I rather have a healthy vet starting that can be trusted by himself. Dallas feels the same r he wouldn't be visiting Dallas right now. Lets not kid ourselves. I don't care what Jerry says.

We agree on Moore. I am not a fan. I think he gets way 2 cute at times then at other times he is just inept. He makes Linehan look great.

Yeah I have to wonder why their logic changed.

My other guess would be they were expecting someone to get cut from another team, and it didn't happen, so they pivoted.

As he's a former Razorback, the most likely outcome is that the Jones's will overlook the issues which caused him to be released in the first place (age linked declining skills) and pay him a HOF level salary. He'll then get injured after a game or two and collect his nice salary check for the rest of the season.

not saying it doesnt happen, but can anyone point out a time in recent history that a player was signed upon visiting? seems like guys always leave w/out a deal and then some eventually are signed. rarely while here though

This is what I was saying earlier. Just waiting for Archer and Gehlken to tweet “visit went well, however no deal is imminent as of now”. Dak ends up getting sacked 8 times next Sunday and his price will go up

One thing many of us may not be aware of is that Jason Peters could be a great tutor for Tyler Smith. He's been there and back.
At least this side of the age line, Peters qualifies for football instructor/ player and not dominoe instructionals.

You aren’t going to find a better tackle available right now. Dude grade positive in the pass and running game last season and played 15 games.

Thinking this team had a plan to begin with is where you lose me.
oh I never said that lmao. ALL I am sayin is, they seen enuff FINALLY to realize they needed 2 make a move. They needed 2 do this like 1 month back. I am fairly sure MM, philbin walked into Jerrys office and said Jerry..HOLD UP, this wont work. We need a vet.

Talking from the management side are we?

How many 40 year old unemployed NFL offensive tackles have you over seen, again?

He has good NFL skills in the past, but how is he now when the bell in the ring sounds right now?

Well?
