...and what did he do with that offense in the playoff loss?

First 7 offensive drives of the game: 1 TD 1 INT 5 Punts

44 Plays 114 Yards

Losing 23-7 near the end of the 3rd quarter
But he ran the ball better than both of our RBs.

The offense is a mess.

When Dak Prescott is your QB the room for error is so small that it's almost impossible to consistently succeed and play well.

With Dak you need to mask his deficiencies with overwhelming talent on the offense to have it be functional. This means a potent running game and dominant WR's that can flat out stretch the field and get open. You need solid TE play and an OLine that is nothing short of the great wall of china.

Bryan Broaddus nailed it on the head when he blamed Kellen Moore for this team's impotence on offense. He earns the coveted triple-hammer.:hammer::hammer::hammer:

Zeke & Pollard 16 carries 45 yards

Dak 4 carries 27 yards

Dak's longest run was 17 yards which occurred at the end of the game wherein it cost the team the game having eaten up the clock......but hey, he out rushed the running backs.

Dude on upper left is annoying. What is that tone of voice? It’s like he’s talking to a 3 year old.

Dak isn’t good enough is the theme here. Everyone fooled themselves including the entire franchise that Dak was elite. POOR MANAGEMENT

McCarthy, Moore and Dak all need to go

Period
All those heads may need to roll, but I wouldn't chop them all off at once. I'd start with KM and see if Will McClay can call a better offensive game.

This offense went to hell against the Broncos last year. I believe they published the blue print for dealing with the boy geniuses vaunted offense. After that notice that the offense pretty much was terrible everytime they went up against an average defense.

So the guy that gave you the #1 offense last year...is now the blame...

Got it:thumbup:

How about giving Kellen something to work with? Instead of these bums....

The offene was loaded with weapons last year and was pretty weak the entire second half of the season. Teams are going to adjust to what you do, you have to be able to adjust to their adjustments.

Using your logic, the QB who led the #1 offense last year.... is now the blame when the oline, penalties, drops and poor route running are going on.

Being an OC is more than just calling plays, players have to know their assignments and you need to know their strengths and weaknesses.

It's not the play calling.
People can argue all day over a play, and get nowhere.
.
Once a play is called, it needs to be executed.
That's where this team fails.

The other thing is, and even Witten stated this when he was in the broadcast booth, is Dak needs the OC give him options on the early reads, where he can make the throws. The OC is limited by Dak.

Dak is simply not a special QB among the NFL QBs. He’d be bar none one of the best back-up QBs, a guy you can count on to win games when the franchise QB goes down, which is what the draft had him as anyways.

He did an admirable job when Romo went down, but the Giants and Ravens games that year exposed his warts as a starter clearly. Those warts remain to this day.

Yes, he’s perfected what he’s always been good at, but he’s still slow processing the field, his mechanics break down under pressure at an accelerated pace and with the injuries piling on, it will most likely get worse. His mechanics don’t even make for a long career, he lacks fluidity to his movements. He throws with his arm often.

But again, the trait that hinders him is his slow processing of the field. The reality is every offense get exposed as the season goes on to a degree and that’s where the real QBs make their money. They fire the Rocket dimes in between two defenders on a third down which break the back of the defense.
You forgot the Vikings game 2016. To me that was when I knew something wasn't right.

The team is a full on disgrace from stem to stern. Moore has been a significant liability since the middle of last season. Teams have figured out his basic scheme and that gadget play nonsense is a joke.
It's weird to say that Moore is the problem when it was the #1 offense in yards and points last year. Even if say we played in a poor division it still a top 10 offense.

This offense looks identical to the one that led us to trading for Amari in the first place. No outside threat, so clog the middle of the field and force Dak to throw in tight windows. Dak not playing in the preseason when the WR core is essentially brand new wasn't a great plan either.

I am not a Dak hater or homer, but all of those guys had elite weapons and above average offensive line.

Dak would look much better throwing to Chase, Higgins and Boyd

Bingo! Like you, I'm done defending Dak but when your starting WRs are Noah Brown, Lamb, and UNRESTRICTED ROOKIE that's a huge dropoff that's easily defendable. My take on Dak Sunday is he and no confidence in his receivers or the plays and it showed. Remember one Buc player said they knew what the offense was doing? Why does that surprise anyone? We all knew we had to run and hopefully set up the pass. Guess what, we couldn't run and when we needed to pass, it was with two low-level WRs coz as expected, they took Lamb out. So yea, he looked awful to suddenly say he can't read defenses or pass with accuracy BASED on this game is ridiculous. But when you make $40m, you're expected to make up for some lack of talent in other positions.

This is my biggest issue with Dak. He's not taking ownership of the offense. He relies way too much on running plays exactly as they're called. For example, remember TO once accuse Romo and Witten of drawing up plays on the field. They knew the play called wouldn't work as if was called. Another example, Sean Payton was once talking about Brees greatness but something that stood out was how often Brees saves his a.... from a bad play called during games.

Also ( sorry for being long-winded ), something I think is overlooked a bit is the pressure he's feeling from his contract. Some make think it's crazy but remember the saying, careful what ask for. Saying you're a $40M dollar player and playing like one are two different things. His comment a couple of weeks ago about shutting up doubters tells me he listening and it's getting to him a bit. So what you get is a player trying to play not to make mistakes, rather than going out playing to win, whatever it takes.

Bingo! In a nutshell, did we really expect Houston and Brown to play like top WRs? Bucs did exactly what we thought they would do with Lamb, and took him out.

I am no Dak homer for sure but KM is just plain bad as OC. Not sure if moving on would help Dak but I wish HC would take over and let’s jettison KM.
