So the guy that gave you the #1 offense last year...is now the blame...

Got it:thumbup:

How about giving Kellen something to work with? Instead of these bums....
I haven't considered this. Tell KM to suit up next week. He can't be worse than Dak.

Dak can’t do a deep 5 step drop, meaning he limits the play caller.

They dumbed-down the offense for him for years.

He was always identified as the type of guy who didn’t ‘practice well’, but showed up on game day. Imagine how they translated in game day?

oh that’s right, you don’t need to imagine, when you see him constantly throwing behind WRs or in area where they need to adjust significantly their body to make a catch.

In my 35+ years of watching football, I have never seen an offense so easy to defend. Literally every week the opponents claim they knew what we were doing and how easy to defend it was
Well when you sub in a running back every possession it gets easy. The personnel dictates the play call it has always been the problem going back to JG, CeeDee in the slot probably will be a Dig/Slant. Turpin in the game look for the Jet action.

This is bull. The stupid gadget plays and benching 7 yards per carry Zeke...is TERRIBLE play calling regardless of who the QB is.
And your answer is to run every play,? See @Floatyworm answer "So the guy that gave you the #1 offense last year...is now the blame..." Too funny, alI we heard last year was why are they running the ball with washed Zeke. again "So the guy that gave you the #1 offense last year...is now the blame..." the laughs keep rolling in.

Broaddus mentions there were opportunities on crossing routes to make a big play and Prescott either didn't see it or lacked the confidence to make the throw. Checked it down instead.
i told my son prior to the game Sgt Shultz would lead the team in targets and a very good chance yards. My money is on he didn't see it.

Why would he give a rip? He deserves blame for taking a job he can't implement his offense but the Jones boys deserve all the blame for staying with this puppet Moore and not allowing MM to work his offense. It's a sad case all around and its our team...

What happened to McC saying he was going to be more involved with the offense?

Is it customary for an offensive HC to be at the mercy of his OC?

What exactly is McC’s job description?

They all get the blame, Uncle Jed, Jethro, Wonder boy, Dak, OL & WR. Next option is to lose wonder boy now and fat Mike start calling plays.

The other thing is, and even Witten stated this when he was in the broadcast booth, is Dak needs the OC give him options on the early reads, where he can make the throws. The OC is limited by Dak.

Dak is simply not a special QB among the NFL QBs. He’d be bar none one of the best back-up QBs, a guy you can count on to win games when the franchise QB goes down, which is what the draft had him as anyways.

He did an admirable job when Romo went down, but the Giants and Ravens games that year exposed his warts as a starter clearly. Those warts remain to this day.

Yes, he’s perfected what he’s always been good at, but he’s still slow processing the field, his mechanics break down under pressure at an accelerated pace and with the injuries piling on, it will most likely get worse. His mechanics don’t even make for a long career, he lacks fluidity to his movements. He throws with his arm often.

But again, the trait that hinders him is his slow processing of the field. The reality is every offense get exposed as the season goes on to a degree and that’s where the real QBs make their money. They fire the Rocket dimes in between two defenders on a third down which break the back of the defense.

Nothing will change until the GM hires a coach and lets him pick everything..players, scheme, assistant coaches..flip side the HC is now on the hook for the outcome..pretty normal day to day business in every other known company in the world. If said GM can not find a coach who can win then said GM is fired...again literally basic day to day run of the mill 101 business rules.

And Mike McCarthy is a West Coast.

The only time he probably influenced the offense was when Dalton, who was West Coast himself, came back from the bye and they tailored it to get the ball out quickly.

There really was no value in getting MM as HC if you weren’t going to change the offense.

Again, remember Dak is known as a player who doesn’t practice well and it took him a week in year 3 to throw TD in training camp. They’ve spent years making this a Dak-friendly offense.

Expecting him to learn a WC offense this late in his career would he a disaster, since he doesn’t have the capabilities of an elite QB.

Here's what I think.

One, Dak is not an elite or great QB. He's good. That's it.

Two, a QB like Dak needs a certain type of OC.

Three, Moore ain't that OC. If you had Kyle Shanahan here, I think Dak would be more consistent and effective. Still not great but better.

Four, it won't matter because we are likely stuck with both for awhile. Moore won't get many head offers this offseason and could very well be McCarthy's replacement.

agree but this is probably not true anymore because he can’t really run

he’s an average QB like we’ve been saying

But still. As the HC how can you have expectations of rookies that you don't meet?

McCarthy was to give the Joneses “credibility” while they could still be GM and HC behind the scenes

he’s here for the money

The Garrett experiment has influenced Jerry to this day. When they finally banished him from play calling completely, Romo had his MVP season. It was under this delusion, that the importance of the HC was downplayed. He thought he could retain Garrett while giving the authority to the coordinators. Garrett becoming Coach of the Year while doing nothing also didn’t help the case for us fans.

The reality is Jerry and co. know changing the offense for Dak would be a disaster for him. They really have no options other than hoping to luck into a guy like Amari coming along to ‘save the offense’ for a brief spell.
