You have to hand it to the Eagles. They never stand pat in the offseason. AJ Brown has really transformed their offense. Howie Roseman is never content and is always wheeling and dealing. They have designed an offense around what Jalen Hurts can do well instead of forcing him to be a pocket passer and its working....... and their secondary is legit.
Great points.
Howie, you love him you hate him. He drafted the wrong QB & wrong WR but made up from those mistakes instead of dwelling on it.
He cut Wentz and took the largest cap hit in NFL history. What would our management do?
They drafted Jalen Hurts in the 2nd round and has been starting for a couple of years now. AJ Brown has been a revelation for that team.
You miss every shot you don't take. Signing FA's and making trades is something that every team should be doing. They will not all work out, but it gives you an outsized chance to improve the team.

While i think both the Lions and Vikings' defenses are slightly improved this year....slightly, they are still two defenses that finished at the bottom of the league.

Meanwhile, we went against a top 2 scoring defense and a defense that went to the super bowl and was top half of the league.

The NFL has manipulated the early season for the bs storylines once again, imo.
Ed Donatell needs fired. He did nothing last night and their defense just sat 15 yards back.

I love it!!!!! The bootleg version of the Baltimore Raven are now the Super Bowl favorites. The Talking Heads are crowing. Like I thought the Cowboys would get no credit for beating the Bengals but the Eagles get credit for stopping Cousins. I am calling it right now. The Commanders will beat the Eagles next Sunday. For the fake Cowboys fan on the Zone who love the Eagles, Hurts is not taking less money then Murray.
No, but they are favorites to win our division. Probably only a few homers that don’t recognize that.

I respect the way the Eagles GM operates. He isn't afraid of shaking things up and is continuously looking to improve the team.

I understand we don't like the Eagles, but every one of us should be a little jealous of how that organization is run.
He is that...not afraid. He also does things a little unconventional.

Trading valuable picks for big contracts is a strategy....not one that I would personally want to employ. You can do these things when a qb is on a rookie 2nd round contract though. I give him credit for using this window to its fullest. The Cowboys failed to do that with Dak on his 4th round contract.

Why not just say "Please tell me the Eagles aren't very good to make me feel better" instead of beating around the bush? lol
Honest question: do you live on this forum? In nearly every thread that's created, you're one of the very first people to reply lol. Seems like morning, noon, or night, you're here!

The eagles look much better than expected and it’s because of Hurts. He is much improved, has serious weapons around him, and the whole team is feeding off of it and playing with a ton of swagger. Time will tell if they can maintain it.

dear mr Cowboy22---- the best they could be in my eyes are "Cross-dressers"....not eagles but Sheagles.....but there are some tough chicks out there?

So many people sat here this offseason talking about how the Eagles may have upgraded their roster but they had in no way "closed the gap" to us. I'm sorry to say, but you were incorrect. The gap is closed. You all relied far too heavily on the idea that Hurts wasn't going to be good enough to do anything with their newly added weapon AJ Brown.

Assuming Rush keeps us afloat, and Dak somehow miraculously comes back with an injured thumb as the first half of last season Dak instead of the post Denver game Dak...we will still be in a dogfight for this division.

It's funny...when the Eagles went prevent and the Vikings went right down the field only for cousins to choke again....i made the comment in the game chat that the Eagles have now switched to the Viking's defensive gameplan...lol

Eagles looked good. They deserve some praise for this week at least. Just acknowledge reality instead of being salty about it.

He made moves even when he didn't have a QB on a rookie deal.

They were in cap hell just a couple years ago and tied to an inflated contract for an underperforming QB.

Now? They've moved on from the QB and have manufactured cap flexibility.

The Eagles' roster decisions are, in nearly every way, superior to the Cowboys.

Yes, they closed the gap. They better have with all of the moves they made.

Are they a better team than us though? That is the question.

I still see our defense owning them. We need all our pieces back on offense and I will feel confident in beating this team home or away.
