Has everyone been so impressed with Jordan Davis like i have been?

I mean...few play patty cake with OL as well as he does.

How much crap i took this offseason when i said he was not that good and will not be a factor in the pass game. He literally has NO pass rush moves....like at all. STILL.

He will grab both shoulders of the OL and hang on. That's it.

He wasn't a penetrating DT in college. Just a gigantic run stuffer. I'd take him on our squad but I did watch him a few plays last night and he was just playpatty cake

I love it!!!!! The bootleg version of the Baltimore Raven are now the Super Bowl favorites. The Talking Heads are crowing. Like I thought the Cowboys would get no credit for beating the Bengals but the Eagles get credit for stopping Cousins. I am calling it right now. The Commanders will beat the Eagles next Sunday. For the fake Cowboys fan on the Zone who love the Eagles, Hurts is not taking less money then Murray.

Philly has the makeup of a team that is going to win a bunch of regular season games, but the formula they are rolling with has never succeeded in the playoffs in the modern era. Their star will burn bright and then collapse. Just give NFL DCs enough tape and Jalen Hurts will look ordinary again.

Of course I could be wrong, but history would say things will not pan out for them in the end with the way they play. The longer they keep Hurts the better for us IMO. He will always cap their ceiling even though he has shown to be capable of high levels of play for spurts in the right system.

Well...considering you scoffed at the idea of the comp....

The Titans OBVIOUSLY see it too.

Not sure how you can look at these two and not see the comparison. Except that Burks is bigger and faster than the "#1" Brown.

Comps are meaningless. It's just an analyst looking at a dude and saying, gee that guy looks like NFL player A. It's meaningless as my link shows where Taco's comp was Chandler Jones. LOL.

The point is that Burks has done zero in the NFL and Brown had a proven track record. The Eagles wanted a proven #1 WR. Brown became available and they took it. And for two games, he's helped Hurts immensely.

I wanted him too...at 24. Not 13...big difference.

Also...i wouldn't have been crowing all off season about how he was going to destroy everyone like Eagles fans did all offseason.

He is a nose. He stops the run(theoretically). He is a 2 down player.

Having said that... Q is twice the player he is right now.

The line up against the Bucs in the first round of the playoffs (like last year). You picking them?

Didn't think so.

Depends. Who is injured? Where's the game? If we line up against the Bucs in the first round of the playoffs, are you picking us?

But what does this have to do with the point being that Eagles look like a good football team with playmakers on offense, a great OL, good DL, etc?

The team with the blue print to stop Hurts is the Cowboys. 0-2 against us. Two blowouts and bunch of interceptions. Relax Cowboys fans.

Yes, they closed the gap. They better have with all of the moves they made.

Are they a better team than us though? That is the question.

I still see our defense owning them. We need all our pieces back on offense and I will feel confident in beating this team home or away.
I'd say they are equal. That offense they shut down last night, regardless of what people think of Cousins, is no joke. They held Cook to 2.8 ypc. They held Jefferson and Thielen to 100 yds combined. Our offense is nowhere near as good as the Vikings right now, and honestly doesn't look like our offense is on par with Philly. So maybe equal is optimistic.

All depends what version of Dak we get back from a thumb injury on his throwing hand. That's not comforting.

"helped Hurts" sounds like an oxymoron lol

We don't know if he has helped or not yet. They blew out two garbage pail defenses. For perspective...they beat the Lions last year like 38-3.

True test is vs Dallas.

As i stated initially ..it will take Burkes 8 or so games for it to start slowing down for him. This will be interesting to track for the rest of the season.

Yeah know...

I think we have a few fans here that potentially could be knowledgeable and provide good insight but too often allow their bias to override their credibility which makes them look really uneducated on football.

When Dallas plays them I would play Micah like the water boy. Have him lineup in the secondary and just get a running start at the snap and free lance whatever he sees fit

They looked pretty damn good last night and to say otherwise is just plain denial. It doesn't mean they are some unstoppable force. I don't understand why some are getting their parties in a bunch.

The only real difference they made to their offense was Brown.

That offense got destroyed by the Bucs in the playoffs.

Their defense is improved but doesn't scare anyone.

Right now i wouldn't pick us vs Bucs.

BUT... .we have to get healthy. We are also VERY young and will get better as the season goes. The Eagles are what they are for the most part.

The vikings record is like 2-9 with Cousins on Monday night. It's been an easy schedule for them, the nfl seems to always set it up that way. They beat the Falcons last year 32-6 in their opener. Top defenses stop the run pass option stuff they rely on because that's what works for Hurts.

2 wins 37 losses in prime time games. How is that even possible?

Dez even believes that the Cowboys defense has what it takes to stop or at least limit Hurts. The main thing with Hurts, is to see how well he plays, once defenses take away his running ability and the RPO stuff.
