If you can't see the intention of the OP's thread by bringing up Cooper Rush's bad throw percentage as a way to diminish Rush and elevate Dak then I don't know what to say.

He is the backup. What is more concerning is just how bad the other 3 on that list are because Baker is supposed to be good and the other 2 the future of their team. I give Lance some leeway just because he played 1 game and the weather that game was awful (incidentally Fields was also in that game with that same weather) so the numbers are probably inflated for him a little more than they should be.

Still the Cowboys won and the backup managed to not lose the game which is what you want from Rush. The coaching still leaves something to be desired but at least at the start it looked good.

I try not to take this Cooper Rush thing too seriously. He is not going to have lasting success. They may be able to scheme enough with good Oline play but we are not winning because of Rush!

I agree. Anything he does positive is a bonus to me. I do not think he's a good QB in this league. Hell before last game I Didn't even think he was a solid backup. I hope he is. We are going to need him to be.

Remember when you wouldn't give Dalton credit for the win when he replaced Dak against the Giants? Even though he was the QB for 13 points, in a 3 point game. Including the two crucial 4th qtr field goals in the last two minutes to tie then win the game?

I don’t know how they did the list but maybe he didn’t throw enough passes week one. As long you’re happy with the 48% that’s all that counts. The 61% was all great catches but the horrible WR group for Rush, ok I understand now.

I'm not happy with the play of Dak or Cooper Rush lol. But for some strange reason Dak was bad but Cooper was Montana for some strange reason. Cooper Rush was average to below average and quite frankly I don't think Will Grier would've did much different. Rush just simply isn't a very good QB in this league despite being 2-0 in it. Jacoby Brissett has a solid record as well and I don't think he's very good either.

He’s a career backup who can come in and knows the system. He’s never gonna be the guy in the nfl but he’s making a really good living at what he’s doing

I think all the zoners know coopers long ball has no accuracy and zip, but by letting a few go , he kept the safeties back and not loading the box. Dak refuses to let the ball go until he sees visible separation, in todays NFL that is pipe dream ( except blown coverage)

I wish Dak would air it out more I have no issues with him getting picks but I know this place is ready to use that against him.

Ummm...no. Just like people credited Dak for the win versus the Giants in 2020 when he got hurt only to see Dalton win the game, Dak gets credit for the loss vs. TB because he started the game....and played the whole game save for the last 6 minutes of the game when he got hurt.

That said, let's look at the stats:

Dak in over 3-1/2 quarters of play 14 of 29 48.3% Comp % 134 Yards 4.6 ypa 0 TD's 1 INT QB Rating 47.2 39.3% Bad Throw %

Rush in 6 minutes of the game 7 of 13 53.8% Comp % 64 Yards 4.9 ypa 0 TD's 0 INT's QB Rating 67.5 19.1% Bad Throw %

So let me get this straight...Rush gets credit for the W where the defense plays their *** off but Dak gets full credit for a loss where the whole team stunk? I get your logic now......smh.

For the record, in his 1 game played in 2022 Dak Prescott had a Bad Throw % of 39.3% against TB......so why isn't Dak at the top of that list?

Could it be because there is an agenda with this thread????

The thing with this is the same issue that I have with all of the 'anti-dak' stuff. Qb is not played in a vacuum. The QB is 1 of 11 on the field and they all depend on each other to be successful. Throwing bad or inaccurate passes can be due to many different factors , most of which are out of the qb hands. When complaining about the results you need to consider that, especially when placing blame on 1 of the 11.

I don't disagree. I only posted this to see the hypocrisy that would occur and it has. There is no stat to measure how good or bad a player is. Not accurately anyway.
