The Rush game plan makes more sense given the strengths and weaknesses of this team, and should remain the plan with either QB.
Stop trying to Air Raid teams with Dak and play to your strengths - runs, quick passes, and the occasional play action down the field.
Cooper Rush is an UFA after this season and he is showing himself to be looked at as a starter for another team....one which Dallas can't afford to resign.
So I have a question how that pertains to dak. Is it possible that more running lanes are open because teams see rush as more of a threat I’m the passing game?
it also begs the question why the hell we stopped using read option and run plays with dak. He made so many plays his rookie year on the run… why we don’t use him more in tat fashion is beyond me
Yoiu may be right but maybe its Dak audibling out of a run to a pass? The Rush game plan makes more sense given the strengths and weaknesses of this team, and should remain the plan with either QB.

send in two run plays....Okay, so how do you stop Dak from audibling out of play calls?
Do you take it away or severely limit it?
Moore can call the play, but it's up to Dak to stick with it.

Do you take it away or severely limit it? How do we know Rush isn't audibling to the right situation? How do we know Rush isn't just better at getting guys in the right positions and calling out the right guys?
There's more to it than just calling plays. It's not that simple.

I think the more he plays, the more that narrative changes. He'd absolutely be picked up if the Cowboys tried to waive him now.I would be surprised if any team actually looks to Rush to be a starter. He was released before the season and nobody was interested. He has shown he is a good backup, though, and I bet there is a market for him as a backup.
Lot of CYA going on here. Save that face, Sturm!
Rush checked out of several plays and got the ball out of his hand quickly to intermediate routes, not the check downs we see from Dak constantly.
Rush knows what he's doing.
I want a high-priced QB. Just not one that's worth $20 million that we're committing $49 million to next season. All this just provides more evidence that you do not need to spend $40 million for a QB to win in the NFL. If you use that money to build a solid team from the inside out, an average QB like Rush can manage the games effectively enough to win. This is what I said when Dak was asking for $40 million. The Cowboys should have let him go and found a smart QB for half the money while using the savings on offensive and defensive lines.
