Dallas had no pre-season game of note and then in Game 1 faced the league's leading defense in Tampa.
Dak looked awful but this team looks awful week 1 basically every year because they sit out pre-season and Dak was uber productive last year.

Even the dummies typing this nonsense realize when Dak comes back he will start and play well versus these same type of teams Rush is beating.
I must be a dummy then. Just happy our back up has done his job no matter if he is following a script. I look forward to Dak to come back and prove he is a highly paid starting qb and extinguish that bad taste he gave us in week one. He is capable but if he fails then the call for Cooper will be immense.

Let me start out by saying that there is literally NOTHING that Cooper Rush does better than Dak Prescott. NOTHING. Lie to yourselves if you want to. Allow your biases against Dak to cloud your thinking all you want but there is nothing Rush does better. He plays within his own ability and doesn't try to do to much and manages to do just enough. That's his job. Yes, I give him props for that, he deserves it.

The funny thing to me is, the same people who are pumping up Cooper Rush are the people who saw him in training camp and in the preseason, who were screaming from the rooftops for Will Grier to be handed the backup QB job. That's not hilarious to anyone else? Yall think he's just a guy that turns it on with lights on?

So all of a sudden, Dak gets hurt, and Cooper Rush comes in and performs the role of a substitute teacher and we happen to win two games and now he's better? All he's been asked to do is follow the teacher's lesson plan and not let the kids burn down the classroom. THAT'S IT! We've scored two touchdowns in the last seven quarters and all of a sudden, he gives us a better chance to win. We lose these games easily if not for the defensive efforts we have gotten. Dak hangs 40 on that Giants team. Make it make sense. I got a BC powder for your eventual headaches.

Stop this ridiculousness.

Their laughable pleasure fantasy will end in a couple weeks and its back to looking ridiculous again. Whatever Rush can do, Dak can do much better. If the team is good enough for Rush to win, then Dak will be killing teams.

Of course Dak should be the starter, but to say Cooper does nothing better is wrong. You going to tell me that Dak can process info quicker and read a D better than Cooper is just ridiculous.Rush is known for his football intelligence and for being a film room junkie,2 things Dak is not.

LOL.......yah of course Dak can.

Amazing the amount of energy and emotions of those that support Dak more than the Cowboys pour into these threads. They can't appreciate what Rush is doing to help Dallas win and instead of cheering for the franchise they attack those who would dare have questions about Dak or celebrate the Cowboys with anyone but Dak at QB.

y'all gaslight like crazy lol. two things can be true. glad coop is doing his thing and the cowboys are winning AND Dak is the better qb/option. i'm sorry you feel attacked and bullied though

Ya, it is only ok when the peanut gallery derives joy out of Dak and the Cowboy's failures.

No, it's when folks talk up modest accomplishments as if they were legendary performances and are then perplexed when the team loses to a quality opponent that drives some of us crazy. Stop worshipping a player and understand what your eyes & results on the field tell you. The player mostly falters against better teams. It's been proven over & over again.

I absolutely, 100%....disagree. I can list off a raft of things Cooper Rush does better than Dak. As a matter of fact, that particular subject has been beat to death on this forum.

You can list whatever you want, he doenst do it better.

Remember when you made a thread saying the season was over when Tyron Smith got injured?

Cooper Rush has convinced you this team is good enough and yet you still root against him.

After the Denver game, Dak led Dallas to 43 points against Atlanta, 56 points against Washington, and 51 points against Philly (who admittedly threw the game by playing reserves for draft position). The 19 TD's you referenced, 11 of those TD's came in those 3 games. In the other 6 games Dak threw 8 TD's and 5 INT's.

so... exactly as he said. thanks for validating it.

Do you think Rush is better than Dak? Can we get you on record with that?

I refuse to put a ceiling on Cooper Rush. He just may very well be what this team needs, but I still need to see more evidence of it.
Really my only complaint about Rush is ball velocity -- he throws it and it just seems to take a long time to get to the target. But he threw a perfect ball to Lamb down deep so I don't know. I do hope that Dak listens to what Steve Young said and audibles less often.

I love Dak, but this is a “what have you done for me lately?” business.

Dak was awful in Week 1 and got hurt. We lost.

Rush has been very solid in Weeks 2-3, both wins.

If Rush can keep this up, then what? And if Dak comes back and lays another egg, then what?

Both huge “ifs”. I still think Dak will come back and play at a high level, but let’s see how it plays out.

Rush is very comfortable in this offense and is playing rock solid football. Maybe with our strong defense and run game, a “game manager” who takes deep shots every now and then is what we need?

Injuries create opportunities, and Dak knows that better than anyone.

How well did you hero play against the bucs? Couldnt even move the ball and got sacked twice.

Attacked, bullied? Nah, I am just pointing out what takes place in this group on a daily basis with no impact on myself whatsoever.

LOL, what is funny to me is that Dak jock sniffers who hate that Rush is winning "following the lesson"...and yet we have a large sample size of Dak failing to win when it counts against good teams. He is in his 7th freaking year and still never learns his lesson. We also expect more from him because he is paid more, like it or not. Even Jerry is wondering where the bang for his buck is. And Rush does do some things better..... reading defenses is one of them. He doesn't check down every other play because he is so confused. Or get out of a run and back to one of his LOS passes in the flat to his buddy Zeke for no gain. Rush at least pushes the ball downfield and gets the defense off his back. Dak has them all over him because they can play closer to the LOS with his 5 yard backyard passes that are off target. We shall see eventually if Dak has learned anything sitting on the bench, i hope he has. Because we are gonna expect more from him than Cooper since he is supposed to be the starter. All i want is Dallas to win, regardless who the QB is....but it appears that you guys are jealous people are talking about someone other than your idol right now. And you can't stand it so you gotta keep creating these stupid threads.

you used the word attack. I obviously added in bullied. there's like one or two off their rocker posters that will argue tooth and nail for Dak. Vast majority of the rest just think/know Rush is a career backup that didn't make the giants or get claimed on waivers and has had a surprisingly solid two game stretch. Dak was being talked about as an MVP front runner this time last year and we saw how that ended. Y'all just like to throw rocks and hide your hands. All good though

Exactly as he said as in Dak lit up a few teams, padded his stats, and in other games he played poorly? Yes, that is what Dak has done for years now.

cool. not what was suggested though. what was said was that he did nothing after Denver and that clearly wasn't the case. There are plenty of valid and warranted criticisms to make without completely lying or ignoring facts.

Cooper really hasn't played that great. He has a 90 QB rating throwing in situations that are advantageous to him. He hasn't played poorly either. Just a bus driver.

I would argue that Cooper is more accurate than Dak on intermediate passes. Cooper is regularly hitting people in the hands whereas receivers frequently have to reach up or back for Dak's passes.

The big lesson is that QB play is overrated. Its a team game that is frequently won in the trenches and both of Dallas' lines are playing well. QB's get too much credit and too much blame.

Regardless, if money wasn't an issue, I would take Dak. Right now, Dak makes as much as Rush plus two elite players. That's going to engender a lot of criticism.

33 points and 375 yards and 2 tds vs the Raiders doesn't count. Especially without Cooper and Ceedee.

New Orleans was a win and they had a top 5 defense. Held Hurts to 117 yards, Brady to 214, and Rogers to 133 last year.

Arizona, pull to within 3 with 4 minutes to go...defense can't get the ball back.

KC bad game, top 10 defense on the road.

Of course....if Cooper Rush had done HALF as good as Dak did against those other teams, you all would be doing backflips.
