I was listening to those sounds from the sidelines clips and Trysten Hill seems to be fitting in well with the team, making some plays, and having fun out there, which can help a player make plays.

With all the negativity towards him before preseason, I'm glad to see him finally coming around as a player.

The NFL isn't easy, and fans are often impatient when it comes to outcomes from a player.

I'm personally loving what the defensive line is bringing lately as a whole, and Hill is part of that.

I actually saw him make a good run stop against Washington. I had not see him do much against the run other than that.

I still would have kept Ridgeway and cut Hill if I was going to release a tackle. I don't think Hill offers much that we're not getting even more from the other DTs, and Ridgeway has some growth potential. Not saying Ridgeway will turn out to be the better player, just that I haven't seen much from Hill to show we needed to keep him, especially since he's in the final year of his contract.

Yep never understood the negativity towards him.
He was looking improved before the knee injury set him back.
Now healthy,
Now he's a solid rotational player.

Hill looks better this year but overall the DT crew of Gallimore, Hill and OO…..two 3rd round picks and a 2nd…have disappointed thus far.

People like to say the FO doesn’t value the position but the draft capital spent says otherwise. They just haven’t hit. There’s time.

I disagree, add Big BO in there and as a group they've been far better than fans TRY to evaluate. Most of the big gashing runs are coming to the outside where the LBs and Safety along with the occasional DB are not getting it done consistently.

both the run game and pass rush has been better then expected from the middle of the DL.

As long as he's on the team I will cheer for for those traits that got him drafted to show up. Sure it's frustrating that it has taken this long but I'm not going to discard any help he may give the team because of the first 3 years. I hope he continues to be productive and help the defense get better. Welcome to the party Trysten.

Guy who shows up to play in a contract year. Haven't we been through this story like a dozen times?

The fact that 75-80% of Washington's rush yards came on the outside tells me all I need to know about what Hill and his mates are doing at DT. And the one thing Hill does more consistently than any of the other DTs on this roster is get penetration. His first step explosion is problem for offensive linemen and he plays on the other side of the line of scrimmage far more than the other guys do. He will occasionally get greedy trying to make a play and get out of his lane but if you watch carefully you will see that he's nearly always relocating the line scrimmage against his man. The other guys do it as well but not as frequently as Hill.

Yes, these morons talk about all the rush yards but have no clue where the yards are being picked up. For the most part the interior defense has been very solid against the run.

Yeah as I mentioned Hill is just good at getting into the backfield. The fact that he leads our DTs in QB hits and pressures despite playing by far the least snaps of all of them is telling. And maybe that's Quinn realizing that he needs to play fewer snaps to stay fresh to be able to utilize that quickness. But the good play is there for those who actually want to see it. Not just from Hill but really for all the DTs.

The 'three year rule' is something I remember being talked about by those that know, quite often over the years.

As long as someone is showing you something and earning in practice you have to give them some time to develop.

All I can say is obviously the coaching staff disagrees.
