Well maybe if this stupid team played starters In the preseason they would have played better They we’re so unprepared and Moore was responsible for it. The Bucs are not as good today as opening day. They lost Julio jones, Godin and several other players.
So now its bc we didnt play in the preseason? LMAO

Dak didnt play in the preseason last season and had his best game ever against this same Bucs team…

And what does Julio Jones and “Godin” have to do with Mariota against the Bucs DEFENSE?

I remember saying in the summer if we lose Dak we may be screwed but that was before I saw how much improved this defense is

We’ve caught some breaks this year but cooper is doing ok but we need more from the offense it’s just not sustainable the way the defense has been

unless zeke and pollard are going to run for 200 yards a game 150 in the air isn’t going to do it
It is an odd state of affairs. I for one..am not used to being glued to the TV when our defense is on the field. I used to save that part for bathroom, food and beverage breaks. It's almost like they switched roles.

But...if defense wins championships....then we are sittin pretty good. If Joe Flacco and Brad Johnson can win a super bowl...then WHY for the love of God are we arguing about our QB's and underwhelming offense.

Let our defense win this one and offense just don;t fork it up. THAT..is what we are doing now...and still all we can do is bicker. :(

6-10 years? LOL....that's not even the average lifespan of an NFL player let alone ADDED TO a 7 year vet.

Dak will be in his prime when this contract is up in 2024. He’ll get another 4-5 year deal. That’s 6-7 years right there.

The average lifespan of an NFL player - ~4 years - doesn’t apply to QB1s.

So you lol all you want. You just got the facts from me. Do with then what you will.

Ooooh boy you showed me. Not just lifespan of an NFL player. NOT just lifespan of an NFL QB....but a phantom lifespan of a "QB1".

Well then...that settles it....YOU say dak will be a Dallas Cowboys QB for 17 years. It of course MUST be so. Then condescend me all over the place. Really?

What the hell is wrong with people. Jeeze!

90%, and I have no idea what the other 10% are smoking.
So YOU are the expert eh? If people don't; agree with YOU...they are on drugs.

The be all and end of of NFL expertise!

Yet you have ZERO Lombardi's...let alone ZERO NFL teams.

Well we should all bow to you JAG opinion!

Not.

Just another random dude who thinks he knows everything. Got plenty of those here!

What I'm saying is that I doubt the game plan would be quite this conservative with Dak in there over Rush. Lots of half field reads letting him get it out early. I would support a similar game plan with Dak, but the eye test tells me that Dak would put up at least marginally better numbers over a season. No need for snarky remarks friend ;)

We will see. I don’t care for the shotgun spread formation for either QB. It is difficult to run that scheme without a very mobile QB that is extremely accurate while running either direction.

i didn’t say 17 years. I said this contract - 2 more years - and one more 4-5 year contract.

I think we know what Rush is by now. He's a bus driver who doesn't make many mistakes, but he won't win you many shoot outs either. Sooner or later we will need the passing offense to be more dynamic to keep winning and Rush doesn't seem the guy for that.
Amazing how with 5 games some people already know the "ultimate limitations" of a QB (who has never lost as starter).... yet after 7 years most turn a blind eye to the limitations (plural) of Dak ... dynamic passing offense means nothing if the QB accuracy is crap.

Maybe sticking to the game plan is one of the attributes of Rush? Do we know if Kellen Moore has sent long pass plays? We have seen very few and the drop that Cedee had yesterday... the ball couldn't be placed better, and yes we have seen some terrible throws that should've become INTs but they didn't and that helps.
Only way to know will be for KM to open the playbook and let Rush play, then we will know, but for now some are RUSHing judgement

I'll take 22-10 wins every week of the season over turnover-laden 35-34 wins (and an equal number of losses). The Madden/fantasy video-game generation hates low-scoring, conservative, smash-mouth football. If the Cowboys find it necessary to throw the ball only 16 times per game, it means they're doing something right, not something wrong. And the proof is in the W/L column.

Great post.

I remember a few months ago, dak was as good as Mahomes, Rodgers, and Brady, now we're hoping he can be as good as Rush. Oh, how the mighty has fallen. Remember 3 points. lol

well so far pappy and many more have been right about Dak and he's been right about you guys who are not Cowboys fans.
Dakota Cowboys.
You guys can't be happy we are winning.
"Dak would have put up 30 after doing nothing the whole game and losing". smh.

I remember the SF game and the big 3-point game to start the season. 3 points.3...... but now he's going to put up 30 points with his surgically repaired thumb. lmao :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Dude I was a boys fan while you was still on the tit. I was a fan before Dak and god willing I’ll be one after .

I just understand the nuances of the game better than you Dak trolls and he’s the best qb in the Dallas locker room and it isn’t even close and he’s never had this good of defense

regardless congrats on achieving Pappy levels at least you’re still occasionally funny and not a dyk about it

This is how ignorant people like you are. You only have to know what happens with 95% of franchise quarterbacks to make an accurate prediction (which I do and I did). I’ll go a step further:

Dak got everything he wanted on his last deal. 4 years instead of 5 and record money. That ‘record money’ didn’t last long, because it never does. I think he’ll sign a 6 year deal with the Cowboys next and he won’t hold them up for top money.

Either way, unless he gets hurt, he’s the franchise QB far into the future. You can take that to the bank.
