CFZ Cowboys Do Not Need Dak

Hes better than vander trash there

Maybe. Micah has never impressed me at linebacker. He’s had a couple of flash plays but he doesn’t have the natural linebacker instincts and it’s because he’s a edge rusher trying to play linebacker.

So Gallup was the missing piece and an excuse for Dak looking like absolute trash??

Marcus Friggin Mariotta looked better vs the Bucs defense than the $40m a yr man did.
Well maybe if this stupid team played starters In the preseason they would have played better They we’re so unprepared and Moore was responsible for it. The Bucs are not as good today as opening day. They lost Julio jones, Godin and several other players.

As an Eagle fan I have no dog in the race, but at least 2-3 times this season the Cowboys will wind up in a track meet and have to put up points to stay in the game. Can they do that with Rush or is Dak the answer?
I agree with your premise and my answer is neither will be able to keep up as they aren't elite or in the top tiers of quarterbacks in the league.

Yes...and? It doesn;t change the fact.

I get teams can change year to year. I get some teams start slow.

It still doesn't change what we did.

And part of their 'struggle"...is we actually BEAT them. See? You are downplaying the results...why? You should think about it for second.
not down playing results. stating facts, just like you say you did. what's the problem?

They will need Dak to compete is games that become shoot outs. He can certainly function as well as Rush has to this point. Rush has been great and Dak needs to adjust his game to be a little more conservative.

I wouldn't go as far as saying Dak is not needed. However, he has to step up his game. I hope he can.

I never said or assumed Dak would lose those games. You KEEP making stuff up to suit your point.

Yes...the D is playing lights out. But talk about moving goal posts sheesh!

We went from tank the season to he MUST beat Philly to be legit. Crazy.
Who wanted to tank the season I must of missed that

The Cowboys need better than Rush and Dak.

Neither guy is the answer at QB.

Eventually we're going to need the offense to step up and I don't trust either guy to do it when it matters.

At least with Rush you have the unknown. We know what we have with Dak.

If you really believe that Dak isn’t the answer, then you’re in for a lot of disappointment for the next 6-10 years - maybe longer - unless he gets injured so badly he can’t play football long enough for us to get a top 3-5 draft pick. They aren’t going to let him walk after 2024 and we aren’t going to lose enough games with Dak playing to find his replacement in the draft. The Cowboys aren’t going to make a trade like the Rams did, so he’s the guy well into the foreseeable future.

You did. There were several threads and comments. Like I said...wish we could search the history...and name the names.

We do not always see eye to eye but I would not lie to you. Not a drama queen....well except for zeke....but that is IT!

6-10 years? LOL....that's not even the average lifespan of an NFL player let alone ADDED TO a 7 year vet.

I remember saying in the summer if we lose Dak we may be screwed but that was before I saw how much improved this defense is

We’ve caught some breaks this year but cooper is doing ok but we need more from the offense it’s just not sustainable the way the defense has been

unless zeke and pollard are going to run for 200 yards a game 150 in the air isn’t going to do it

Good to see the public is much smarter than 41% of the Zoners.

So is the Tampa loss this year and San Fran loss in playoffs or maybe even the Denver loss are those team losses? Enquiring minds want to know
Yes...they are. The very same people that say that when we lose trot out Dak's individual stats when we win.

I...am like you. Try to stay consistent with it. And...if you have an agenda...admit it.

I ...personally...think individuals CAN win games. I think a single play CAN win games. A single player CAN win a game. But I duly note some people claim it's a team game in certain circumstances then cite individual stats when they want "their guy" to look good....or "NOT their guy" to look bad.

It's fine, that is normal human cognitive bias. But Imma point it out when I see it. For better or worse.

Both sides are doing it. ( it’s sad that on a fan forum we have to say both sides)
Our fans suck

It does not matter if he wins against Philly

The highest average per attempt in the league is around 9 yards. Which is two yards better than Rush. Which yields an extra 20 yards in this game-lol. Try again. The offensive philosophy is altering what can be expected passing. Plenty of people want similar play-calling for Dak, which would eat into those high passing totals. Dak is about to get his shot to prove his worth with a squad more than capable of beating other teams in the NFL without him.

What I'm saying is that I doubt the game plan would be quite this conservative with Dak in there over Rush. Lots of half field reads letting him get it out early. I would support a similar game plan with Dak, but the eye test tells me that Dak would put up at least marginally better numbers over a season. No need for snarky remarks friend ;)
