The entire league confirmed Romo's injury situation by the fact he didn't get picked up the next season. The Cowboys made the right move. If Romo comes back does he get hurt again in a game or two? The answer based off history would be yes sadly. And that sucks because a healthy older Romo is better than a healthy Dak as far as understanding game and just managing things, but making the big plays when it's there. But he couldn't stay healthy sadlyThat's not what they decided. They decided that Romo's body was never going to be able to hold up in the future and so they moved on from Romo entirely. Yes, Romo was the better QB (and it wasn't close IMO), but the organization saw a path to an easy transition at QB and took it.
There is no scenario where we walk away from Dak's salary, so all this conversation is pointless.
