Ya, that was surprising that they were able to do that when we needed the stop the most. I have to believe we will get that squared away and that the defense was worn down at that point after being put on the field so much.

They converted one 3rd and 4 by just lining up and smashing our DL. You make that stop, Philly likely punts and it's a game. Instead they just move it down the field and score a TD and end the game.

If you want to be considered a great/elite defense, you can't give up a 3rd and 4 on a run play late in the 4th Q. You just can't.

Hey dont forget the two combined tackles by their amazing first and second round picks!!!!

They also have the "best dl in the league". and we rushed it down their throats all night and didn't give up a sack. Not bad for our "terrible" OL.

Their OL is "best in the league" but they had to run a college offense to keep their qb upright after he was sacked 4 times.

So much the naysayers were wrong about but hey ..we lost so the eagles are amazing.
Man it’s refreshing to see someone being logical about this…..man your own point.

LOL, Jerry has done the same thing. We had to get rid of players this past offseason because we had cap constraints.

Again, HE HAS THREE FREAKING PLAYOFF WINS IN 20 YEARS.

That's literally one of the worst GM jobs ever. Most regular GMs don't even last nearly that long delivering three playoff wins in two decades.

You're letting your homerism cloud rational thought here.
I’m not hyping up Jerry. I’m knocking Roseman. Since the SB he’s made terrible moves.

My point isn’t Jerry is great. My point is if you give me the option of not be I for sure as hell am not taking Roseman. They have busts every single year at the top of the draft. You aren’t stating anything factual. Does Roseman suck drafting yes or no?

Bigger picture is....they have been elite to this point. They forced philly to change their entire approach to offense...they have never been this ground and pound but they had to or their qb would have been pounded into the dirt.

We have to improve at this and we have 11 weeks to do it.

Last night was a good team with no meaningful injuries at home beating a team without their franchise QB and franchise LT.

People need to stop making this more than it is. Philadelphia was a failed third down conversion in the 4th quarter away from losing that game with effectively a +4 turnover margin. And that margin was due almost exclusively to the backup QB.

The reality is, under a microscope, that game was more concerning for them than us. Really good teams win by 4+ scores at home with that sort of turnover margin.

Will be interesting to observe what impact his return will make on wins and losses especially come playoff time, lol.

Stay tuned.
Anything less than a 4-1 start will be disappointing.

If Rush can lead us to it then surly Dak will have no issues, right?

The Eagles spent the offseason signing and trading to get better coming off a playoff berth in 2021. Sometimes that strategy works and sometimes it doesn't, but they are sitting at 6-0 right now, so we can only assume that their plan is paying off. The Eagles have had success doing this in the past and have a Super Bowl in 2017 to show for it.

The Cowboys hardly ever do any major signings or trades during the offseason and instead chose to try and fill needs in the draft, with cheap free agents, or plug and play guys that have been on the roster as backups in the past. We went 12-5 last year and instead of trying to build on that success by adding talent, we get rid of talent and deplete the roster and don't replace it with better or equal talent.

The game last night looked like a team that tried to get better and made it a priority going up against a team that didn't make the effort required to improve. Cooper Rush can be blamed until you're blue in the face, and yes he was horrible, but Cooper Rush even playing is just another example of the Cowboys organization not trying to improve a position of need and sticking with a guy their familiar with instead.

Why wouldn’t I blame Rush? His three INTs, one on what should have been a walk in TD, and bad throw on 4th down are why Philly won. Without those we win and by a couple scores. Philadelphia had 280 yards and actually drove the field for 13 points. Cooper Rush handed them the other 13, and took away a TD on our side. That’s a minimum 20 point swing just in him.

All I ask is that you keep that same energy when Dak plays.

Our next 7 games include 5 home games in which we will be favored by 5-10 points in every game. And one of the other two is a tanking Green Bay team.

6-1/5-2 is likely just from a statistical perspective

I'm focused on the next 5 games.

Anything less than 4-1 with Dak through the next 5 will be a disappointment.

The eagles have put together a very good roster. They have made a lot of good moves.

But hurts is about to get paid. And when you shell out top dollar for a QB, you have to trim other areas to make room for his salary.

Hurts has a perfect setup around him right now. But that won't be the case for long if he breaks the bank

Last night was the difference between a fully healthy team at home vs a team without their starting quarterback. You can say all you want about the Cowboys front office but the game was 20-17 early in the 4th quarter after the complete second quarter meltdown. The Cowboys are alright.
Well said. So many people crying the sky is falling after one loss, a close game at that. If the IGGLES are light years ahead of the Cowboys on talent- how come they did not run away with this game? Cowboys damn near came back on them after being down 20 points, with their backup QB with 5 career starts. The IGGLES aren't Jimmys Cowboys or the 80s NINERS, or 70s STEELERS, LOL. I think with Dak and in big D , we beat them next game.
