They continue to NOT hold the running game in high regard. Over & over.
That includes the run defense. It averages over a yard before contact! Almost 2 yards past the line.

mr Risen---- What elusiveness???????....brace or no brace???????....but i think you knew that and might be trying to draw out some frustration???

That's called "sarcasm". We don't see that much around these parts as too many people take it literally.

This is a total mistake and may cost us his services IF we make the playoffs. It will be difficult to win games without a healthy Zeke.

I'm pretty sure they learned from last year and are not putting him out there if he can't be effective or if he is risking further damage. If they had done this last year he very well could have been the difference between winning and losing in the playoffs. I'm willing to wait and see what we see of him tomorrow before making any judgements.

Why are we running him if he’s so injured to the point that he needs a brace? I understand if we were struggling in the run game but we ARENT. It isn't detrimental to the team if he doesn’t play versus when we used to lose Tyron or Sean Lee.

Zeke has a worse YPC than Malik Davis *before* having to use a brace.

Last 9 games of last year, Zeke averaged < 3.5ypc.

This year
Tony Pollard 6.0 ypc
Malik Davis 4.7 ypc
Zeke Elliot 4.1 ypc

That's not likely to change if they keep using Zeke as a glorified fullback. He has done a nice job on what little edge runs have been called for him this year.. but the fact remains they haven't called a lot of them. They seem to save those for Pollard.. which is fine as long as it keeps working. But you have to believe at some point teams will figure that whole thing out. Stack the line when Zeke is in and overplay the edges with Pollard.. Davis hasn't played enough to offer any read on how to play him..

The obvious solution is to play them together so we can attack the full breadth of the field. I like two RB sets. Though at this point, I don't think Zeke is good enough to merit being one of the 2. Better Pollard at TB, and Lamb or Turpin as a motion runner.

Zeke probably would make a decent FB, but I doubt they'd go for it.

could be braces. As I recall he had a pretty wide gap between his toofeses…..one love

Let’s just remember the good old days of 2016 when he was a spry youngster.
