While Connor McGovern’s play as a whole has been solid this season, the guard is not far removed from a brutal holding call against the Green Bay Packers in Week 10.

After surrendering a 28-14 lead in the second half, Dallas had the ball in overtime and a chance to still win. Pollard received a handoff and busted through the center of the line for a big gain, but the play was brought back for a holding call on McGovern.

The play stalled the drive, which was followed by Green Bay eventually winning the game 31-28. McGovern is convinced it wasn’t a hold even after watching the play afterward.

“Once I felt the back go past me, I let go. I didn’t grab anything,” McGovern said. “The ref said I tried to restrict him, tried to tackle him. Watching it on the replay, watching it on the iPad, I still don’t see it.”

Clear as day, the officials screwed the Cowboys over the Packers once again.

If we played Green Bay on our field, we win that game. The refs cheat like hell at Lambeau Field for the Packers.

Fans continuing to blame the officiating for the Packers loss. Lol We blew a 14 point lead and couldn’t stop the Packers on a 4th and 7 that would’ve won the game…get over it!

Learn what holding is. When you materially restrict the defender's path to the ball carrier by any number of means, it's a hold.

Agreed, bro. It still is infuriating how that team playing for that QB gets helped so much all of the time. I was glad to see Coach Mike McCarthy so incensed after the game when talking to reporters. Now he understands how it feels to be on an opposing team against the ever officials-helping Packers.

plain and simple Cowboys should be 9-2...without any doubt

BUT PUSHING A LINEMAN TO THE GROUND IS LEGAL AND NOT HOLDING. SMDH

Yeah, it's absolutely legal. They called him for the ever so slight grab just before TP hit the gap. It was a weak call imo, but 2 things made it happen; 1) the defender sold it by going to the ground 2) it happened close to when TP hit that gap so it got noticed.

Again, I can understand them calling it close. I only ask their flags don't disappear a few plays later on an OBVIOUS 3rd down PI.

Honestly, I'm getting kinda pissed off that anyone is so dead set against seeing the truth that they've convinced themselves that this wasn't a hold.

Well, to be candid, perception is truth to some people.

Also, some people argue their truth so they can perceive that they were right even when empirical evidence is presented and that leads to their bias. Others just call it stubborn because they just have to be right.

The Dallas Cowboy can do no wrong, they do everything right...well except when the paranoia strikes deep and the refs sneak in and ruin the game so they can justify their mindset without proof that the refs and the league are out to get these mean Cowboys. Perception is truth to some people.

I’m not disputing there’s some very questionable and poor officiating . We just don’t have any evidence it’s anything more than that. If there was then there’d be a major investigation.

But yea, that was a bad call and they changed the rules accordingly, just like they did with Dez bad call.

Human nature is still part of the game.
Why would there be an investigation? A Jets fan took the NFL to court about some blatant non calls against the Patriots once. The court said the NFL is registered as an entertainment league (like pro wrestling) so the NFL cannot be held liable eve if there is blatant cheating and fixing by the NFL.

They can fix games anytime they want and laugh at you for caring.

Another reason the nfl is not that important to real football fans anymore.

Check this out...
