They have 3 weeks to activate Washington from the time (IF) they start his return.. and they haven’t indicated they’re going to even though he’s been healthy enough for the past 2 weeks.. so I don’t think it’s Washington.

Takk can be rotated in/out from the Practice squad if needed.. but he’s not needed at the moment. So it’s prob not McKinley.

A OBJ signing would definitely fit this scenario, but nothing has been announced (yet)

More likely the roster spot is opened for Tyron to return. And they definitely could use him after the LHS of the OL looked suspect last game. If Tyron is truly healthy and back.. it’s an upgrade no matter how anyone wants to spin it. And thats not a knock on the rook Tyler Smith.

Let’s go!!

I figure it's more likely a player we've been bringing up from the PS who is about the run out of call-ups.

This should be for an offensive lineman. Dallas is playing a dangerous game having only 7 on the active roster. And with Dakoda Shepley out of practice squad elevations they played on Thanksgiving without a backup capable of playing center.

I figure it might be Shepley for that reason.

That’s a good call. Didn’t think about Shepley. That makes sense.. I thought activating Tyron would be a bit too early myself. But I also figured he’s been conditioning for weeks

Also a slight chance Matt Farniok could be ready but at this point I think Tyron is back before him.

Right. Seems too soon for any of the "bigger" moves we'd make, which is why I think we're kicking a practice squad player up to the 53.

Edge Depth Chart (6):
Parsons
Lawrence
Armstrong
Williams
Fowler
Golston

All six are arguably starter caliber. How many teams carry a 7th d-end? (I suspect perhaps nobody else does)
Who plays DT. That is the problem.

^This.
When you look at adding JW or Tyron 2 roster spots are needed, sucks their taking away a defensive player for a WR4, but whatever. Now cutting Basham for Tyron makes sense.
Well it's the deepest position so where would you release from?

Cowboys looked to trade him before the trade deadline with no takers. Given the dept at pass rusher it was not a hard choice for the Cowboys, the roster spot means more than Basham
