Read the first few explanations of contracts for Rodgers, Wilson, Carr, Murray, and Stafford, including earliest outs and dead money. Love Dak or hate him, love Jerry or hate him, I think you’ll appreciate just how good Dak’s contract is compared to other QBs. Most of those teams have no options at all and are stuck with QBs, no matter how bad things get. The Cowboys are likely to extend Dak soon because they believe in him, but his contract is very team friendly and has a really easy out.

Unrelated side-note, I was surprised by former QB Tim Hasselbeck’s list of NFC QB’s he trusts most to win an NFC playoff game. He had Dak at number 2.
ESPN on anything is a pile of dog crap.

My tune never changed.

Dak is not a difference maker.

What do you expect from a QB that isn't elite? What kind of difference maker do you expect? True difference makers are probably hall of fame players. Or close to it.

I expect Dak to not try and do too much.

That's it.

The less Dak tries to do the better we operate. You can make a difference by doing less. Dak needs to adopt that role and be consistent in it.

You're not understanding (shockingly).

If Dak leads the Cowboys to postseason success then he will be a difference maker over Cooper Rush. Until then we're just a 5-1 team without Dak playing.
you are so predictable, mostly because your ego doesn't allow you to think otherwise..

and in your zest to just never admit you threw out some bullshiet to win an argument, then caught in it and now so desparately (not a good look, but then again its you) trying to spin into a different arguemt. in post #309. you clearly commented the below

IMO if a top 5 QB gets injured the team doesn't go 4-1 without him.

and multiple posters showed that you were wrong. that this has happened before, that you just threw out some bullshiet (as usual) because you want to win that argument on that comment....

and now you are changing the argument from "the team doesn't go 4-1 without him" to now spinning into being effective in post season success and winning superbowls or whatever else your tried to spin into.

so shockingly, you being you again tried to do what you always do. try so desparately to spin your way out of what you said, acting as if you never said it, or you didn't mean it, or it wasn't you.

just too funny.

I assume next is an insult, then you say you live in my head rent free (that's your schtick). and then you say you are done because you can't win this argument.

so so so predictable.

What everyone else is saying you said. The fact Rush went 4-1 without Dak means Dak isn’t a difference maker.

Now that everyone else is giving examples of backups winning games your changing
the tune to winning in the playoffs.
he just will never admit it. he just tried to say, well, what I said then doesn't matter. what matters is this new thing I am arguing. until you prove that wrong too and then he spins again. I am sure he will say prove me wrong about post season success because now he has something new to argue with so he can say "I won the argument". that's all he wants to say I am right, you are wrong and I know best and I won the argument....so predictable.

Yea, I’ve noticed the change in tune.

If your QB leads you to playoff success or Super Bowls are they not a difference maker from their back ups?

again. you never said playoffs or playoff success. all you said, if your team goes 4-1 with the backup you are not a difference maker. end of story. you got caught in a bullshiet you said, now you are trying to soft spin it. are you saying that was not your comment? post #309

I would have never said anything about playoffs if ya'll wouldn't have, once again, brought up Tom Brady to try and defend Dakky poo.

Ya'll brought it up, not me. So, take that mess to you pals instead.

Yes it was.

If Dak leads the Cowboys to a Super Bowl this year then he is a difference maker. If he doesn't then we're just a 5-1 team the last two years with Cooper Rush at QB.

This was your original argument. That a team shouldn’t be able to go 4-1 without a top 5 qb in his absence. I pointed out that the Saints did it with Brees gone and you said that’s because Brees was washed at that point and wasn’t a difference maker which is why they lost in the wildcard round. I then pointed out how well the Patriots did while Brady was suspended and he won the SB that year. Now you’re saying unless Dak wins a SB then he isn’t a difference maker? That’s goes directly in contrast to your original point.

I'm saying that Dak, unless he goes with the less is more approach, is not a difference maker period.

He just hurts the team when he tries to play like actual talented and skilled QBs.

What has Dak lead this team to that Cooper Rush hasn't? They both have led teams to squat.

Besides the fact that I think you’re wrong here, I will slide past that to ask you, what does this have to do with the original “your team shouldn’t be able to win a bunch of games without you” point? That’s what I’m addressing

A difference maker is supposed to make a difference.

Dak doesn't.

We could get bullied by the 49ers with Cooper Rush just like we would with Dak.

here you again pointing fingers...wrongly as usual...you just can't help your predictable self

the argument you put forth....it had nothing to do with playoffs....it had to do with a top 5 QB being out and the back up going 4-1.....(post #309). ....you, that's MountaineerCowboy to be clear, you said top 5, nothing about playoffs....you never mentioned playoffs. you were very clear as you what you meant......so when people mentioned tom Brady, it was about a top 5 QB (Unless you don't think Brady is not a top 5 QB), and no one mentioned playoffs...so not about playoffs....., but I know you...you get caught in a bullsheit and you spin... and people said it about Brees and you spun again and people said it about Aikman and you said, the year before that year Aikman was average...spin spin spin spin....its you. its what you do. its what you are good at.

and so here you go, squirming in quick sand....having a hard time saying you were wrong... pointing fingers. spinning. deflecting. your ego won't let you. its got you by the balls.

soI am going to help you...so just say it, come on...just say it....yes you can, come on...say "I"....come on, that one is easy... "I"..... and now, you say "was"...come one, that one is easy too, it can go any direction.... "was"....and now, here is the tough one for you..."wrong"....come on..."wwrrrr"...come on say it..."wrrrronn"....come on you can do it...atta boy..."wrong"......bravo, there you go...you did it....;)

and very predictably, you will say, I didn't read this post...and you try to walk away...yet you know you were wrong ;)
