If the Cowboys benched and then traded Dak, would you still love the Cowboys?

If you felt that the Cowboys were wrong to bench Dak and subsequently find a way to trade him(contracts can be modified to allow it), would you move on to support whichever team Dak went to, or would you still be a diehard Cowboys fan?
Charlie Brown - when you come up with these "get rid of Prescott" storylines - keep in mind
1) He has a no-trade + no-franchising clause in his current contract --he has to want to go somewhere else to complete his NFL career.
2) The Cowboys Franchise Owner + Team General Manager wholehearted believes that Rayne Dakota will lead this team to a league championship ...thus has no inclination to move on from him at this time i.e., the contract presently in place will run its course (barring injury).

this is like the ridiculous questions my students sometimes ask, and I respond, well what would happen if the man from the moon came down and put you in his spaceship and flew away?

I’m a Cowboys fan first and not a certain Cowboys player fan. I was a fan of the Cowboys before Dak and I’ll be a fan after him.

Yes, but I hope the individual responsible for that move would be institutionalized.

12-4. What kind of question is this. Why would the Cowboys bench Dak. No trade clause. Who would you bench him for. We Cowboys fans. We supported them during the Dave Campo and Quincy Carter years.

Of course I would still be a cowboys fan. I would be a pissed cowboys fan if they didn’t find a better QB right away. But still a cowboys fan.

That is a badly worded question. Most fans love or greatly favor the sum of their franchise--from players to coaches to history to etc., etc. The minority of fans fixate on an individual or team colors or whatever that is not equivalent to the whole organization.

A better question would be, "Would you care about the team if your favorite player, Dak Prescott, was benched and traded?" It would be an even better question if Jerry Jones hinted at that possibility through. The scenario is a down the road fantasy possibility in the here-and-now.

Over 50 years of loving the Cowboys and you ask if I'll still love the Cowboys if they trade a QB who won't win a super bowl for them?

Really?
