Was there seriously no one involved in that entire process that had the balls to speak up? There is no way the fans will accept that joke of a mascot. With a name like Commanders, you could have a badass mascot but Snyder still isn’t over being forced to change the name and had put a thumb in the eye of the league by unveiling a mascot that ties back to the old team name. If he actually sells the team, I bet one of the first things the new owner does is get rid of that mascot.

What did a chicken have to do with the San Diego Padres? Whatever that aardvark thing is for the Phillies? A gorilla for the Suns?

Yet, those are the greatest pro mascots of all time?

Mascots are for kids. Washington had the Hogs in their heyday. So a cute piggy with a army helmet could be funny and sell a bunch kids toys at Christmas.

That's what marketing is.

Meanwhile, we have baby Jeffrey Epstein in a Cowboy costume. He's gotta go.
