San Francisco is a paper tiger

The Niners are a top 3 NFL team and strong in almost every position group. I thought that at least we may have the advantage at kicker but…….

I loved our matchup with the Bucs but I loathe our matchup with the niners and the reasons are obvious

Was really happy to see Kearse after the Cowboys game talking with reporters, sounds like he will be fine and ready to go vs SF. Cowboys need Kearse

Let's not go crazy just because we won a road playoff game.

The 49ers have great coaching. If McCarthy leads his charges to a victory, I will amend my opinion about his insipid coaching.

if anyone can game the Niners and have great intel, its Mike McCarthy. We have the perfect coach for this game actually. It will be a matter of executing the plan. We are really banged up and thin all over. Tall task.

Let’s go crazy because the opponent had an 8-9 record instead
Yean not what was being said leading up to the game. Brady 7-0 vs the Cowboys, can't win on grass. So you can down play it all you choose, myself you bet I'm excited about it. My fear was never Tampa Bay, Tom Brady or grass fields. My concern was the Cowboys getting over a mental hurdle and that can be big for this team heading into SF.

49'rs are a great team ... We will need to repeat Monday nights performance to win the game.

They look good, even dominant, but they haven't played any of the top teams except Kansas City.
Kansas City wiped the floor with them, 44-23.
While Brock Purdy's success makes for a feel good story- and it should- the 49'ers will miss Garappolo Sunday night. Purdy and the Niners have feasted on sub par opponents, but now Purdy has to face the Dallas Cowboys- and all that a complete team has to offer.
The Cowboys won't fold in the third quarter. When the second half starts, Dan Quinn's adjustments will crunch the dreams of a rookie quarterback who has become accustomed to sub .500 teams who run out of gas after they play a close first half. Purdy will find that the Cowboys secondary doesn't lay down. I predict that it will be the 49'ers offense that runs out of gas this time.
So the only question is how the Cowboys offense will fare against the Niner defense. And that will break the hearts of Niner fans. Not only will Pollard and Elliot have great games, but the defense of the Cowboys will add to that with turnovers that assist the offense. With all of that, Dak will play loose, and will have some big plays.
Cowboys 34, 49'ers 14.
And I believe that the Giants WILL beat the Eagles.
Not even close. They have top level coaching on both sides. One of the best play callers. They have one of the best defenses in the league. They’re stacked with weapons. They’re physical and well rounded.

If you can't get excited about winning what is the use of being a fan?

The thread calls the 49ers a "paper tiger."
The 49ers are HARDLY a "paper tiger."
The thread statement was likely made to prop up the Cowboys based on their win last night.
We don't have to denigrate the Niners because we won last night.

This will be tough. But I firmly believe we will make Purdy uncomfortable.... Does that give us the win? Shrugs. I am hoping that last night's win (and removing that huge albatross off our backs) catapults this team to another level.

the 9ers are good...no doubt.
but they are beatable.
if we play our A game...i think we can advance.

No but we also do not have to make lite of the Cowboys play. I agree SF will be a tough task for this team but Cowboys will also be a tough task for SF. This will be a classic battle

Yeah they're a paper tiger unless the Cowboys somehow beat them. Then it'll be a really meaningful win beating a team of their caliber.

SF is NOT a paper tiger. Christian McCaffery was a huge get for them. He and Deebo make that offense go. Keeping those two to minimum production will IMO determine the outcome next Sunday.

They are extremely well coached on both sides of the ball and are very talented. That said, Dallas certainly stands a decent chance for the upset.

Stopped reading at Elliot will have a great game.

I am not sure about that. The Vikings might be paper champions but this 49ers team is legit. Maybe the best team in the NFL. Good defense and good running game. The best chance to beat them would probably be try and rattle Purdy and get in his face to disrupt him. He is young and I do not think he has faced much adversity yet. They are going to be a tough out.
