I just posted about this. I believe I heard from a reporter (Mickey Spagnola? Or perhaps David Moore?) on the Ticket radio station in Dallas that the Cowboys wanted Solari as well but he got/took a larger offer before the interview with Dallas. From what I seem to remember their was a handshake deal in place but money talks so he took the better offer and Dallas got stuck with Coach Ketchup…..
No, that’s not accurate. Jason Garrett chose to hire Paul Alexander over Mike Solari.

Wasn't it Seattle one of the wors OL in football most got Russell Wilson killed, and then last year had to draft a bunch of players and this guy was let go?

You have to be ready to the McCarthy sell.

“he watched every snap of every game last season” blah blah blah
"Listen here Mike... I know you got a good thing going here. No boss. No responsibility. Nice couch! ...and SURE you were laughed outta the league for having one of the worst OL in the league for the last 3 or 4 years!!! I GET THAT. But darn it, we NEED you!! We got some young guys showing promise and who's going to screw that up? Who?" McCarthy pleaded.

"Besides, everyone just blames Dak anyway. It's a sweet gig!"

We finished last in the league in '88 and destroyed two QBs with poor blocking (White and Pelleur).

In all fairness. Seattle did have a pretty dominant run game in those years. But man Mike Munchak was there for the taking.
which tells me that Solari has to be more to do with the Zone scheme .....munchak and columbo are power scheme type OL coaches ..

MM will be designing and calling plays. The guy is there in name alone.
