I hate this hire, they should of gotten more of a modern OL coach who excels in today's concepts, not one 30 years ago. Solari has always been a good coach, but he is totally old schooled.

I made the same comment but to be fair our coach isn’t exactly a spring chicken and will be running a form of the bill Walsh west coast offense partly…not exactly reinventing the wheel

Well…so much for getting a young, energetic coach for the OL. This was the perfect opportunity to re-boot the coaching staff with much needed new blood.

Solari’s résumé is about as diverse as the assortment of seasonings he represents, too. In terms of the blocking schemes Solari prefers, he is the definition of multiple. Offensive lines coached by Solari have shown a keen ability to use a wide variety of blocking schemes with effectiveness.

Perhaps Solari’s most productive stint was as the offensive line coach for the 49ers under Jim Harbaugh. There, Solari paired with offensive coordinator Greg Roman to create one of the most physical and varied offenses in the NFL at the time, and he also coached up some incredible talent including the likes of Anthony Davis, Alex Boone, Mike Iupati, and Joe Staley. In San Francisco, Solari’s units used a ton of power blocking concepts to field an efficient running game centered around Frank Gore, but they also employed zone blocking concepts with some regularity.

Old school, isn't the 49ers/Eagles/Rams of today. It's going to be more about the fundamentals not the scheme.

Typical fans. Seemed like they loved him 2018-2020, then by 2022 he was just as bad as the guy he replaced 4 years earlier! That just goes to show you the decency bias most fans have.

Solari has always been a great OL coach. Hard nosed lines.
