I hate this hire, they should of gotten more of a modern OL coach who excels in today's concepts, not one 30 years ago. Solari has always been a good coach, but he is totally old schooled.
I wouldn’t mind if he can install a old school running game with sound blocking and running. that would tremendously help our QB and offense.

Big Nate would have played for him back in the late 80s. I'm curious to what he has to say about the hire.

I remember reading that this is who they wanted back when they hired Paul Alexander. I believe I read they had an interview set up and that it was just a formality but then someone else offered a contract he couldn’t refuse so we got stuck with Coach Ketchup….

We just cannot have a basic scheme, where if one player loses his matchup, it's blows up the entire call.

Partly right.

But Jason Garrett chose to hire Paul Alexander instead.

He’s got “change of culture” written all over him…..I wonder if ESPN will get all lathered up if he’s fired in just one year

I wanted them to hire Solari back in 2018. Garrett chose Paul Alexander instead.
I just posted about this. I believe I heard from a reporter (Mickey Spagnola? Or perhaps David Moore?) on the Ticket radio station in Dallas that the Cowboys wanted Solari as well but he got/took a larger offer before the interview with Dallas. From what I seem to remember their was a handshake deal in place but money talks so he took the better offer and Dallas got stuck with Coach Ketchup…..

Everyone wants to fixate on his cup of coffee at Seattle and insist on claiming his leaving precipitated an improvement. Nevermind that is a gross oversimplifcation.

Solari's claim to fame was his performance in SF. He came in the year before Kaepernick was drafted and developed that RPO attack. IOW, he was one of the pioneers of the modern RPO style. That team ran the stretch rollout and counter system that I personally have been coveting.

this signing gives me some hope.
