Did you listen to the interview? I’m not a defender of Jerry by any means, but this is not what he said at all. Your quotation is completely out of context. Then today Jerry is quoted as saying Dan Quinn will be like a “co-head coach”. Dysfunction Junction
False narrative. It’s convenient, but false.Crazy how that can happen when you force a coordinator on the head coach.
Admittedly, I did not hear the whole interview. Please help us better understand. I certainly could be wrong.Did you listen to the interview? I’m not a defender of Jerry by any means, but this is not what he said at all. Your quotation are completely out of context.
Much respect, but don’t pull out the dictionary. It’s an opinion forum. Lots of them around here. That’s how this place works. And btw it’s spelled “dysfunction“.
No, it's not. It’s an opinion forum. Lots of them around here. That’s how this place works. And btw it’s spelled “dysfunction“.
No doubt in my mind. KM was Jerry's boy, not MM's, and Jerry gave KM full control of the offense.20 grand says Jerry perpetuated this dynamic.
He never used the word “co-head coach”. I just relistened to that part to make sure I didn’t mishear. The point he was making is that he has a coach that is head coach material controlling the defense and a coach who is obviously the current head coach coaching the offense and that is a positive for both sides of the ball. As you are well aware, sometimes you have to look past the words that are said to what he’s trying to say. He’s 80 years old after all.Admittedly, I did not hear the whole interview. Except both Jerry and McCarthy have disputed that.No doubt in my mind. KM was Jerry's boy, not MM's, and Jerry gave KM full control of the offense.
I think you are right.
Moore was Jerry's HC in waiting.
I think he was OC as a condition of Mac getting the job.
Power struggle, Mac won.
Jerry could not fire Mac after 2 12 win seasons.
Again, false narrative. Saying he was ‘forced’ is saying Mike did not at all want KM. This is not at all accurate. It’s convenient to say that, because it makes it easier to bash JJ. It’s easy enough without having to make inaccurate assumptions.Yep, KM was ‘forced’ on big Mike.
However if he’s going to get fired for not meeting expectations, might as well go down swinging with his guys.
You know it!He was Garrett 2.0 in waiting.
How so?No, it's not.
Thanks for the clarification. He never used the word “co-head coach”. I just relistened to that part to make sure I didn’t mishear. Now it might be debatable if Mike being in effect the OC is a positive, but he obviously believes so, so that is the point he was making.
Again, I’m not a JJ defender and I very rarely actually listen to either he or Stephen, but I did listen today because I felt like fans summarizes of what was said was not 100% accurate, and I was correct in that assumption.
When MM was 1st hired he expected to be handling the play calling. That got changed shortly afterwards and not by him, but he had no choice but to go along with it.Except both Jerry and McCarthy have disputed that.
