I hate Philly, but Hurts had a great game. Only reason they didn't win is because their All Pro Sack Leading Defense laid a frigging egg in the second half. All those great pass rushers who were number 3 all time in sacks for a season couldn't get it up enough to sack Mahomes. Be interesting if he is a flash in the pan, because Philly caught lightening in a bottle this year. Their D line will probably be weaker next year and they gotta pay Hurts.

In my opinion, that’s what lost the game. Kansas City did not necessarily win this game. Except by the scoreboard. Eagles actually lost it. It was in the grasp
I don't see the distinction. Winning is about doing what you have to do to win games. The Chiefs did that, and the Eagles fells a bit short. Making fewer mistakes than the other team is part of it.

People are singing his praises....if Dak has that fumble.....nuclear warheads would have been launched.....!!!
Some turnovers are to be expected.
They are part of the game.
My concern with Dak is the significant increase in interceptions.
It's alarming.
Hopefully the new offense will help.

Bill Parcell would always tell the team that if you are -1 in the TO margin then your chances of winning is <50% already. That was exactly what happened in SB.
That’s very true, and the fumble was costly. However, after that fumble no matter what Hurts did he doesn’t have the power to get his team back to even or winning the turnover margin. The game wasn’t over the moment the fumble happened, he did nearly everything he possibly could have to make up for it.

Philly losing the turnover margin 1-0 is as much on the Defense as it is on hurts. If KC turns the ball over on the last drive (or any drive) and Philly wins… suddenly that narrative is different, even though Hurts’ affect on the game is exactly the same. He goes from having a costly game to having some amazing game… though nothing may have even changed in his performance.

If Hurts has 16 fumbles in the entire season next year, then we can talk. For now, that was a one off and was not due to a brain cramp or lack of awareness of his surroundings. Not one reporter/analyst said Hurts cost them the game.....

Dak couldve played the same game Hurts played last night and everyone wouldve said he was trash and it was his fault the team lost and not blame a defense that couldnt cover 2 pregnant chicks and 4 elderly men
How things have changed?
Used to be around here Dak was Elite and a top 5 QB.
Now we are debating Dak vs Hurts.
Wonder how much lower the bar will drop by the end of next season?????
Dak vs Jones or Dak vs Geno Smith?
LOL.......

Oh look, another thread defending Dak because Hurts made it to the Super Bowland had 1 mistake that didn't cost his team the game but rather a poor 2nd half defensive effort.....but keep on defending Dak as that is what you cult do all the time.

LOL...Hurts led his team to 35 points yet the fact the defense gave up 24 second-half points when Hurts had Philly out to a 24-14 halftime lead isn;t the issue? You guys are sad.

I equate that to the pick 6 he threw at home against the Eagles. That game was a lot like the SB. The Eagles were up by 10 and Dallas came back and won...

I think in the context of leading 6 scoring drives it’s not as damning. Any QB who has 4 TDs and 1 turnover is typically depicted as having a phenomenal game.

You could correlate it to the pick 6 Dak threw early against Philly in game 2. Few use that to define his game because of everything else that occurred
Oh but they did...they talked about it for weeks afterward.

Difference was..Dak closed them out.
