The Hurts fumble

Can we stop comparing Dak to anyone who has actually played in a SuperBowl? This is Hurts second year starting and he's gotten them to the SB and not just that, by the standards set by the Church of Dak, Hurts played well in that game and his fumble is not the reason they lost. Basically what I am saying is that if you claim that Hurts sucks, then in what universe does Dak Prescott not suck?
Lol! Hurts' fumble didn't count! :lmao:

Nope, I can't stand the Iggles or Hurts. But this place routinely points out bad plays made by other QB's in the super bowl in a sad attempt to prop up Dak. This thread is basically more of the same.
Don't listen to homers and over compensate by trashing the teams QB of the this forum. I'd start there.

People are singing his praises....if Dak has that fumble.....nuclear warheads would have been launched.....!!!
Not enough chatter insofar as anything I've heard or read today about Hurts reverting to his old self, and his mistake being a primary reason for losing.

Yep. I wish Dak had his legs for sure. Very good QB.
Also, Mahomes makes me sick w/ how good he is.
Yeah he’s surreal. I think he’s a big part in why people think Dak sucks. They compare him to him lol….Mahomes is just surreal. I just don’t see anyone as good as him right now. It’s him and the rest.

When he fumbled the Eagles were leading 14-7 and the Chiefs scored there was over 9 minutes left in the second quarter. By end of the first half the Eagles were up 10 points. Also I'm evaluating this by the standards set by the Church of Dak since no fumble, no interception is ever the fault of Saint Dak, shouldn't the same apply to Hurts?

I think in the context of leading 6 scoring drives it’s not as damning. Any QB who has 4 TDs and 1 turnover is typically depicted as having a phenomenal game.

You could correlate it to the pick 6 Dak threw early against Philly in game 2. Few use that to define his game because of everything else that occurred
Minshew clearly lost that game though

So a fumble doesn't count because:
1- It wasn't Dak
2 - Fumbles don't count in the 1st half

Noted!

he did enough to lose it, definitely. if a fluke run play at the very end ended up winning it for Philly, Minshew’s blemishes don’t change, but the narrative does. Whether or not Philly wins or loses, Minshew played not great.

whether or not Philly won the Super Bowl, Jalen had a really good game. It’s just the narrative that changes with the outcome. That was my point

Personally I think it does count. But try telling any Church of Dak member that it does when he fumbles or throws a pick 6. And if it doesn't count for him, how can it count for any QB?

They like to put a lot of words in mouths. Lot's of exaggerations. And conveniently oblivious to criticism we dish or this very conversation.

It's not a prop though. That would be like saying "Dak carried the team." Myths like that.
But come on man...you do the very thing you hate others doing. You find ONE thing to prove your point. And ignore all the other stuff.

It's okay....I don't hate you. But you do the SAME stuff YOU hate other people do.

I get it...you want to fight fire with fire. By doing the same thing you hate other people do.

I would say this, a few of Hurts passes that completed deep were simply lucky as the DB misplayed at least two of them. The rookie jumped way too early and Brown beat him to one, it could have been picked off. But his running threat is no joke. I do wonder if the NFL will make some sort of rule against their QB sneak play, since its unstoppable and completely unfair for the defense which has to be in a 3 point stance
