You're not disclosing anything people don't already know. That's the point. Do you honestly believe that military pilots couldn't ID a drone?
That's a stretc
Sure, "people" like me know about these homemade drones that can fly higher but the general public seems to be ignorant of their existence.

Who cares what I honestly believe when the pilots that shot the objects down said they were going too fast to identify them?

Even the balloon concept is a mystery because Satellites can pick up license plate numbers and whether a guy has a mustache or not. So what more can a balloon do? Plus, balloons can be shot down. So can satellites but it would be a much bigger deal, and there are treaties against space armaments.

The only thing I can think of is that the balloon equipment is taking samples from the atmosphere or they are simulating a high altitude EMP or something like that. By now we have the payload on the first balloon and it will be easily determined what it was for.
Satellites can only take pictures of license plates if they're looking for them. Also, those satellites aren't high enough to view the whole Earth at once, and there may not be any in an orbit that could see the balloons where they are. I think most orbits are within 100 miles of Earth's surface, not far beyond the Karman line of 62 miles. When you compare that distance to the size of the planet, it seems like it's asking a lot of the satellites to expect them to see everything.

Sorry, just realized I misunderstood what you were saying at the start of your post. Lol

You're not bringing anything to the table except suggesting you have top secret clearance without actually answering any questions.
So OF COURSE I value expert opinions.
Go ahead an call the "general public" ignorant, I don't care/
I'm just having fun with an interesting topic.

I never suggested I have any kind of security clearance. You only hear what you want to anyway.

@JoeKing - I'm only having fun discussing the topic, so we're clear I have no desire to argue about your classified status.
That being said are you allowed to describe the propulsion system?
Joe has been using a propulsion system of hot air fueled by a volatile mix of BS for years now. If he squeezes real hard it'll push him all the way across his driveway. That's classified so don't tell nobody.

China says that the US has been doing this for years

That's a standard tactic, blame others for what you've been doing. China does that a lot as does Russia and a lot of regimes.

It's worth noting that it's a balloon. And, it took a week to cross the entire country before they took action. A balloon. And this after who knows how long it was floating around above nukes etc. undetected.
They reset the radar so it detects balloons now An article says they were monitoring for faster moving objects and the slow speed of the balloons caused them to be undetected

Any idea what the heck is going on with all this balloon business in our airspace? I didn't go deep at all on the topic, I've distanced myself a touch from news due to some trust issues on my part. ;)
But seriously, I had been fairly confident in our defenses against wartime balloons back in WWII, what am I missing?

The tinfoil hat brain of mine can't help but ponder the idea of the many UFOs/UAPs videos in recent past that have been released, didn't take fire that I heard of. Why are balloons giving us such a challenging time?

What the....o_O
They’re not all balloons. Where did you hear that? :lmao: :lmao: The internets? :lmao2::lmao2:

We got bigger problems than just a few balloons. Fighting or preparing for fighting is underway pretty much everywhere. Nation’s military budgets are increasing in quite a few places. Getting turbulent out there.
The nations militaries are ALWAYS preparing to fight. Jeez, people are so ignorant these days.

You came to say "you know stuff" but can't discuss, why stay?

I can almost guarantee that these balloons are not alien‘s. Aliens have studied us and have want no part of this planet…they watch us for entertainment purposes.

These balloons are the very early beginnings of ww3…no doubt in my mind…

A word of advice...

If anyone ever notices:

A Husky running through the snow.

A guy chasing it with a rifle.

And he is screaming in Norwegian.

Don't shoot the guy.

Nuke that dog.

Literally.
