Drafted RBs can usually step right in roll. And this is a great class.

Meanwhile RBs in their fourth, fifth season are usually already in decline. I'll pass on veteran RB.

Doubt the top-ten FA backs have played ST in a long time. Young draftees are faster, hungrier, cheaper with less vanity. We got Pollard and Malik Davis. If I'm thirsty at RB at all...only want rookie juice.

Damien Harris would be perfect. He probably cost the most though.

based on the contracts other backs are signing I don't see that cost being that much higher. Would definitely welcome his hard running.

Agreed but I think the Cowboys would rather pay a rookie free agent and a third round pick.

As for Pollard status? He had a high ankle sprain and a fractured fibula. neither injury should pose a problem moving forward.

Is that all? From some of the posts I've read recently you would have thought his leg was amputated.

I would bet that we are done signing/trading anything meaningful until the draft. Unless something that can’t be refused comes along. The view in front offices is current players are the cheapest during the draft, hopefully that is the case this year with a vet WR. As for running backs, if we sign a vet that will also be after the draft. When they would be more likely to sign for the vet minimum.

If the draft a running back, he could also play on special teams. Pollard did that for the Cowboys when he was our #2 back.

Fournette is not hungry anymore. That is why I am glad we tagged Pollard. You need hungry backs to earn their salaries.

Have you seen his belly. Hell ya. He looks like hevis always hungry. But might be a good pickup for a few carries a game at a discount.
