Bijan: If he's there you HAVE to take him

if we take an RB in round one it's because Mike isn't sold on dak. He is hoping to find a diamond in the rough to carry the quarterback like in 2016. shrugs.
It's been 7 years. We know who Dak is. Good QB who can occasionally carry a team but if you ask him to do it all the time it will fail. His best season was when he had a great running game and off pass action. Best if you keep his pass attempts under 30. We almost always win those games. If he has to pass 50x, we usually lose them.

I’m perhaps one of the few that thinks TP drops off significantly as the RB1.

I love the guy and want him to be great but I just don’t trust RBs that rely on his skillset to be successful as an every down back.

Praying I’m wrong, for all our sakes!
You are not wrong nor alone.

TP cannot carry the load. When Zeke was out and TP was the main RB for a few game he even said it himself that he was worn down. That was only 2 missed games by Zeke.

He will also lose his explosiveness when you over use him.

We need another RB who takes about at least 15 carries per game and split the workload with TP.

B. Robinson better touch it more than 15 times a game for that draft capitol..thats my point you tagged TP for 10 mill, a plenty good 15 touches a game RB can be had on day 2 or 3

Or the Eagles will take him at 30 and laugh
I've been saying this the past few days. They won't take him at 30, they'll take him at 25. They know Jerry always stands pat, and they'll not even give him a chance. If Dallas wants him, they're going to have to break character, and move up 3 or 4 spots.

Bijan is not dropping out of the Top 10 picks. Jerry is not trading all the way up into the Top 10 just for a RB. Bijan is a pipe dream. It's not going to happen. Time to close this thread. Sorry.

Or you could just sign Kareem Hunt and take a DT?

Kareem Hunt would never be on my team. Predictably he faded hard in his 6th season. Dropped from his career average of 4.5 yards per tote to just 3.8.

For the 1,000th time I'll say it: RB's last 3-5 years, which is why you replenish through the draft.

While you may be correct, there are a lot of mock drafts having Bijan available at 26. I'm not sure I have seen one where he is taken before 15.

This was just today:

Most of the estimates I have seen are in the 20 to 25 range.

100% and when you pay a current RB with a 10 mill tag you dont turn around and draft a 1st rounder..again there will be a 1st round RB talent next year. Draft trenches put it like this, scenario is TP and Barkley are in the same draft along with Martin and McGovern, your options

Take Barkley in the 1st McGovern in the 4th
or
TP in the 4th and Martin in the 1st

wich combo is better?

So if Robinson is there and say the Steelers offer 33 and 80 for 26, do you take it? I do and take Gibbs at 33.

It's possible Bijan gets taken in top 10, but most experts predict him going 14-30.

For example:
CBSSports Pete Prisco: Bijan > Cowboys 26th pick
Daniel Jeremiah: Bijan > Patriots 14th pick
Mel Kiper: Bijan > Bills 27th pick
Todd McShay: Bijan > Eagles 10th pick
PFF: Bijan > Cowboys 26th pick

Based on talent he ranks top eight for sure. But RB position isn't valued as much.

I can’t see the eagles trading up for a running back, they have to rebuild the defense. They got devastated in free agency.

No TB is going to put the Cowboys over the top. Again, people are acting like Robinson is this once in a generation talent like a Randy Moss and that’s just not the case.

Don't like comparing WRs and RBs.

I have heard numerous pundits say Bijan is better than Barkley and is the best RB of last 8 years.

Robinson isn't going to on the board at 26. If no other team the Eagles will make sure he doesn't get to Dallas.

More discussion should be about 2nd-4th round RBs, Robinson talk to Dallas is a waste of time imho.

In a normal draft I might agree. But this draft won't have any high tier Oline at 26. In fact there won't be any elite talent at 26 at any position except perhaps tight end or RB.

Good RB. Not great and not special. Tony Dorsett special, Erik Dickerson special, Barry Sanders special, and Gale Sayers special. You know it when you see it because they make the game look easy.

Bijan is way better than Pollard out of college (he was a KR, WR, that played a little RB). He is an upgrade over a recovery from injured Pollard. But I agree he is not a special talent.

You can get just as good a RB in drafting Gibbs in the second round or trade up in the later 1st like they drafted Felix Jones.

If he is the best player on the board at 26th you draft him. There has to be context to the not drafting a RB in Rd 1 rule. If you are in the top 1-15 picks for sure do not. If you are picking between picks 25-32 and there is not a better player at any position of need then draft him.
