Nav22 and Qcard sure do love them some emoji's. It's like little kids in a candy store, it's so damn cute or embarrassing for some supposed adult mature boys to act like that. lmao. I guess it makes them feel strong, when in reality it's very immature, but then I just have to consider the source of their love.

I wonder which one of them would win in a race car...?
I always assumed they were tweens.

From all the off-season moves so far I feel that a Dak extension is a long shot at best.
They have enough now for 1 move decent FA and the new Draft pool unless I missed something here.
Prove it (Please Finally) or lose it season coming up for Mr.Prescott.
what? huh? you drunk again my friend? remember we talked about it. no drinking and typing.

This is not normally an extension year. They usually do it going into the final year of their contract. So look for it next year.

It will be great comedy around here if and when Dak is extended!
He'll be extended before next league yr. To keep his caphits around 22-25 AAV that they've been at since signing that 40mil AAV deal he signed. Funny how they've made it work at around 23.5 AAV huh. They did this with Romo his whole career. Get used to it, or there's 31 other teams looking for fans. Lol

He’s led us to back to back 12-5 seasons, and our first playoff win on the road in 30 years. If you want to move on from him, then what’s your plan at QB that will keep the Cowboys winning and having a chance in the playoffs? Do you have a plan that’s sure to land the Cowboys a better QB than him? Apparently some of you think it’s going to be easy to find a better QB.
I think the guy you quoted meant winning a championship, not just winning. What you said, and the question you ask, would be very similar to an owner's point of view. Fans want to win a championship, not just win games and be a paper tiger in the playoffs.

I don't think he will get an extension this year, I think they are building a very good team around him, and it will be a test year to see how he reacts and plays Dak, if he fails again, next year it will be easier to cut him. right now we don't need to give him an extension because we have enough money.

Winning a championship starts with having a good regular season and making the playoffs. The Cowboys have only had two QBs in their entire history lead them to championships. The guy I responded to doesn’t want to extend Dak, he wants to move on from him. If the Joneses move on from him and do what a lot of fans want them to do and either go with Cooper Rush, sign a veteran castoff or draft a QB and hand them the starting job does that mean they’re serious about winning?

Yep, if Dak cant do it with this roster (assuming we get at least one plug/play offensive player in the draft), then I doubt he's going to. This is going to be the most talented group's he going to play with.

We'll be paying the cost of this restructure in 2024/25, oh we'll get through those years and some of Dak's $59m will get restructured again, but get ready for a revisit to the dumpster..... It was a shock when looking at 2024 and with adding Lamb's 5th year ($19.5m) and Diggs Franchise Tag ($20m) we are left with just $6m with a number of players hitting free agency. Even 2025 we only have $144m left (reduced from $282m starting level), looks good until you factor in that the three top contracts we have are: Gallup, Wilson and Tyler.

Almost every year is a prove it year for Dak. We haven’t been to the SB in forever. Same when Romo was here.

We have needed better coaching in the playoffs since the Johnson era. He had a more stacked team then.

Dak can do it. Romo could have. It’s a team game. Takes more coaching when teams are even on talent. Takes a bit of luck and the ball bouncing your way.

No one is gloating over it, but it was an accomplishment to beat Tom Brady for the first time and win our first road playoff game in 30 years. Winning a road playoff game has been a real struggle for this organization dating back to Troy Aikman’s final years. Say what you will about Dak, but he’s still better than a lot of QBs in the league. If it was up to some of the fans on this board, we would be in the same boat as Washington, and a few other teams that don’t have a viable QB. It would be great to have a Patrick Mahomes but QBs of that caliber don’t grow on trees.
For the record..I have said it before. We CAN win with Dak. He does have to cut down on some of the head scratching mistakes.

Beating Brady? First off...is it a team game or not? Isn't when convenient I suppose. 2ndly...8 other QB's did it last year. In and out and back in retirement. 15 years ago...even 10....might be something to hang your hat on. Last year? Um...no.

You've seen Dak lead the NFL in INTS when missing 5 games.

Wait until you see him play all 17 (if he can because he's injury prone).

Dak ain't getting an extension if he has a repeat of last year.

The first thing about being serious about winning a Super Bowl is bringing players in that can win. Not just win games during the regular season and fall flat in the playoffs. Just because you make the playoffs doesn't mean you can win a championship. The Cowboys had zero chance in the last two years. Who are we kidding?

Your take is, I'll pay 100K for a honda civic because it's the only car in the lot. What better choice to I have? I have to get to work. I'm not riding a bike. So I'll pay.

Think of it as if you were playing a football sim with no money involved. Would you pay Dak? No, you wouldn't. Because your only goal is to win a championship. NFL owners goal is to make money. That's why they pay Dak, and that's why teams pay QB's like Jones, Murray, Cousins, you get the point. To make money. To keep the team relevant even though they know they're not winning anything.
