The guy struggles with separation. He’s the opposite of a mismatch lol.

The dude is a poor athlete.

He’s a guy that wins with leverage.

At least learn the player you’re talking about so I don’t have to teach you.

Pre-Draft Analysis

Mayer is an excellent route runner whose ability to create separation with physicality getting out of his breaks is outstanding. He is savvy when locating soft spots in zone. His ability to win contested catches is second to none in the 2023 class, and he adjusts to passes thrown outside his frame. Mayer is powerful with the ball in his hands, generating yards by breaking tackles and carrying defenders. He's a tenacious blocker and his technique improved significantly during his three college seasons. -- Steve Muench

Yeah, he looks like a nice 2nd round prospect going in round 1.

Most of these round 1 TEs are not worth it and he looks like another guy in a long list of 1st round guys who go high and just never match the value.

Meanwhile the best TEs in the league are getting found on day 2 and day 3 and are legit athletes unlike this guy.

You did the same thing with parsons. Lol

Claimed he couldn't rush the passer.

Your pretty much a draft prospect wrecking ball.

Like an emotional child thats gets set on one player and hates the rest.

You hating on mayer is his ticket to the nfl.

He’s been wrong about so many players.

Would you rather have 5 years of a Jamaal Charles / Alvin Kamara

Or

10 years of Tyler Eifert / Kyle Rudolph / Cole Kmet

I’m taking a risk on a impactful position then getting my solid TE in the first.
I see what you're saying but to be fair, the upside comps on Mayer I've seen mentioned are Witten and even Gronkowski.

Dude you’re the king of the straw man.

I had no clue Parsons could rush the passer off the edge and neither did any of you.

Dallas wanted him as a MLB and I still think he’s nothing special at it.

Seeing that he played linebacker against Green Bay and they rushed for 207 yards and everyone after the game was complaining about how he was used I don’t feel like I’m too far off.

Guys like you are upset because I say things like don’t pay Zeke and don’t pay Dak because they’re bad value.

I was right then and I’m still right. Instead of criticizing my opinions why don’t you just learn something instead.

Weaknesses

Weaknesses
  • Needs to get into blocks with quicker hands.
  • Sluggish release and acceleration off the line.
  • Won’t generate much separation at stems and turns.
  • Occasional slips getting out of breaks underneath.
  • Likely to see heavier contested catch totals at the next level.
  • Upper body looks a little tight when reaching outside the frame to catch.
  • Below average run-after-catch talent.

Pretty much every article agrees with me about his weaknesses.

No one wanted Zeke to get that much in his 2nd contract. You’re wrong on Dak like you are wrong on Parsons 2nd in voting for DPOY I believe.
