How many run attempts will Deuce Deuce get per game?

way off. This kid isnt a gadget guy. Hes a football player. Gets better as the game goes by. He needs touches. I think 10-12 a game is what he can handle. More some games. hes not a bell cow back at the NFL level. But he is a nice rotational complementary back that has juice to change a game.
Everything said about this kid was said about Tavon Austin, and countless other under-sized quick backs. Only saving grace is he is a 6th round pick and can be used up an thrown on the trash heap after year 3 when he he misses 3-4 games a year after getting plastered by everyone that is not a kicker/punter.

0. He will not make the team. It was a token wasted pick. The kid is 5’5. Imagine him running into jalen carter. He will get smashed like a grape
Alabama has its share of big defenders, right? What about TCU?

He had 147 rushing yards and a touchdown in the regular-season finale against the University of Kansas.

He tallied 130 rushing yards and one touchdown in the Big 12 championship game 31-28 overtime victory against Texas Christian University.

He had 133 rushing yards, including an 88-yard touchdown, in the 45-20 2022 Sugar Bowl loss against the University of Alabama.

You make it sound like he was playing pop warner last year.

Hey I hear u but Ive seen him take huge hits and get up time and time again. I never seen a dude his size withstand so many hits and get back up again. U will luv this kid.

Hes far from a lock to even make the team.
If you read this board you'd think we drafted Barry sanders.
We didn't, we took an udfa rated guy in round 6 cos his dad works here .

Edit, not to say I don't like the kid, but let's see him make the roster first

well said. Facts are the damndest things

His size raises valid questions. Adding in the fact that his Dad is a coach for the Cowboys increases the doubt...but his college play was impressive.

yes and no. Nobody is Barry. That said, you are blatantly ignoring his college film and numbers in a HUGE conference. He's not an afterthought. Hes making the team barring a bad injury that ends his career. Hes 2 talented. Watch his game tape.

the last thing u stated is an understatement when we consider many factors.

There's a reason he lasted, game tape is good yes, but VERY FEW guys that size make it. That is FACT
As BP said, put away the anointing oil

Just my two cents on the kid:

1. I can’t tell you how much of a chance the kid will get.
2. He is capable of being your lead back, if your team has the pills to play him and let him do his thing he can carry the ball 20x per game in the pros.
3. Size matters, but in this case this kid has turned a deficiency into his super power. The only way his size matters is his catch radius receiving.
4. People doubting this kid have not watched him play.

As a side note, he has been getting hit by NFL sized players in college. That’s way overblown.

Tavon Austin didnt lead the NCAA in rushing yards or be in the top 2 for attempts while at a power 5 school..man you guys are ignoring alot of facts to try and make him a gadget guy
