Speculation - Leonard Fournette Linked with Cowboys

Sports Illustrated has linked Fournette to the Cowboys. It's the offseason, so, naturally, they would publish it. Just thought I'd share what they published. That said, I would prefer him over Ronald Jones.

We need a full time bell cow and I don't think he can do that for a season anymore. But he could possibly be our short yardage/goal line guy to compliment TP and Deuce.
But TBH, I'd look elsewhere.

One has to seriously wonder about Zeke's strategy at this point. I assume Dallas made him an offer before cutting him and he obviously felt he could get more elsewhere or he didn't like the role. Dallas does need another body at RB, someone to run into a wall to soften things up. It seems like both sides had something to offer the other and neither has found a replacement.

Fournette averaged 3.53 per carry last year. Don't have the exact numbers in front of me (at dialysis) but he ran for something like 668 total.

They might have had the worst Oline in football last year.

I think thats the whole point of what we have learned over the last several years. That we no longer need a bill cow. That is a thing of the past generally. What we need is a stable of good backs. I do agree we could use a younger all around back that can pound it up the middle.

If he still has some gas left, it’s worth a shot. Leave no stone unturned. I’m tired of losing in the playoffs.
